“Was driving past and saw a Jamaican flag in the window so I turned around. Thank God I did the food is so good ya'll I had the lamb, spinach and mashed potatoes. I'm still outside the restaurant in my car posting this cause the food is gone already!! An amazing Shout out to the owner miss tanya and her staff a wealth of knowledge a true blessing. Also thank you to Mario from Goebbarts farms for serenading me with live music while I waited!!“

The service was beautiful, the food was immaculate and the vibe was everything. I’m already looking forward to the next time we get to experience the taste of Belize! We ordered the stew chicken, fried fish, Mac and Cheese, stew peas. We also ordered a delicious drink and they gave us a shot of margarita ( it’s so strong you only need one) Ahhh our bellies and hearts are full right now as we sit in the car too hyped to pull off. We will most definitely be back and back soon!“

“Have been coming to Tarascas since 2016, and the margaritas and the food make this place a must visit on the north side. Incredible staff, great music selection, and that’s without mentioning that everything on the menu tastes fresh and exciting. I tell all my friends to come here when they’re in Lincoln Park, Viva Tarascas!!!!“

“If you dont like it too spicy thisnjs for you! /his is by far the best Jamaican spot yet ! The sauce is delicious, the meats were tender and soft. Cabbage was my favorite. Would 100% go back everytime I'm in town. Only opinion: if you are not serving an item at that time it should not be on the menu“

“This is a quaint little joint. I noticed the man taking our order was so thourough and thoughtful with his hospitality and customer care. Now I notice when customer service is bad but I really take note when it's good, and this was good!! I want to highlight that. Customer service has been lacking since covid but not here! I hope he reads this because I did take notice. Young man, you are great at what you do. Thank you for being so kind, your customers see you. Thank you, too, for the delicious food... And oh my, the fries have I mentioned the fries? They are in a large basket under your dog, like a mattress for my Italian sausage. I wish I lived closer, 😂 By the way,, a tell tale sign that a place has amazing food is that the police eat there. Yes y'all, you guessed it, Chicago P. D. was just ordering as we were heading out. Go head and get something to eat here, you won't be disappointed.“

“Really understand the low rating but this the most authentic Jamaican restaurant in Chicago. Food is always good and consistent. I have had mishaps with uber delivery ( to err is human) but food taste and quality is good and consistent. And they also have daily specials .“
