“1st time there, will definitely go back. The food smelled really good when we walked in. We were seated by the window which was nice. Lots of TVs everywhere, which are high up, (you can still have a conversation with people). We had the crab cake sliders which were different & good. I had the maple pulled pork bowl which had cheese, onion strings on top & seasoned potatoes. Nice menu to choose from. Can't wait to go back & try something else off the menu!“

Bingo is Wednesday night and a lot of fun, plus the wings are half off that day. Burgers are excellent. Jackie is fun and is always lively. Good people there too. “Not only have I loved Hawthornes from when I was a kid growing up in West Chicago! It was the PERFECT place to have my wedding. Lou, Heidi and Kelly did fantastic and helped make my dream come alive! Every question I had they answered and were able to accommodate so much! Heidi was in CONSTANT communication with me and was able to give advice and help me through the whole process. Her suggestions were so helpful and she helped during the ceremony and reception. I could not have done it without them. This place treats you like family and has amazing service! When my husband and I went to pick up our things the next morning we were planning on taking 2 trips and Lou let us borrow his truck that is how amazing and friendly they are! WE LOVE YOU HAWTHORNES! I'm a Veteran so when I saw the Marine Corp memorabilia, I knew I was in the right place. The service from behind the bar was outstanding! All class and personality. The food was fantastic! Burger was fresh, flavorful, aromatic and well-crafted. Ball game on the screens with the sound up (ya don't get that at other pubs, they keep it muted). The place was cozy, comfy, warm and smelled like Heaven.......I will definitely be back!! I had the sweet teriyaki My friend had the garlic parmesan wings we also ordered a pizza however the pizza was okay The cheese was rubbery, I would have liked to have brought these issues to my server however she was kind of in hiding, my server was very slow and that's usually not the case there..

I couldn’t resist ordering their famous French onion soup. The soup was loaded with cheesy goodness and perfectly caramelized onions, making every bite pure comfort. The coconut shrimp were massive, crispy, and absolutely delicious.

Pickle fries are a fun, tangy treat and the tuna salad are made in a way the chefs at The Dam Bar & Grill can only accomplish.

The portions were generous, the flavors were on point, and the atmosphere was chill and vibing. Whether you’re in the mood for classic comfort food or something with a twist, this spot has it all.

“I've visited here more than a few times and every single thing I've ordered has been truly delicious. The filet steak salad is my newest obsession, the portions are generous, most especially for what they charge. If you're a smoker, the outside bar is ideal because you can smoke to your heart's content while eating and drinking. All the bartenders are AWESOME and the bathrooms are quite nice. I've never been let down eating here!“
