“No. 1 china is all right by me! This particular day I visited I believe the restaurant closed at 8, we got there and 7:50 and she was still sweet to us. We ordered everything but the kitchen sink and she took our order with a smile. If I’m ever in the area again, I would for sure stop by again. The chicken wings were my favorite!!“

“I placed an order online for pickup and I didn't catch the name of the gal but she has blue hair. She was totally on top of everything was handling all the online orders like a pro! The restaurant was packed - 5:30 on a Friday! People will were lined out the door. It was so full. Kudos to the three guys in the kitchen. They are Rockstars, did not crumble under pressure at all. “After ordering from all six Chinese restaurants that are in South Elgin or bordering on Elgin, I can confidently say this restaurant has the best Chinese food in the area.

The food quality and flavor is not only on par or better than all of the others, but the pricing is the most fair as well.

With respect towards the other Chinese restaurants, I don't see why I would order Chinese food from anyone else while this establishment is around.“

“We had the large Kung Pao chicken, crab ragoon and the large teriyaki chicken. They were all fantastic. We will definitely go back.
The Kung Pao chicken was spicy but not overbearing.
The teriyaki chicken was so tender and had a wonderful flavor.

“This place has some of the best Chinese food I have found near Hanover park/streamwood/Bartlett. Mongolian Beef is more traditional (spicy and not sweet, packed with beef, white and green onions and includes the crunchy white noodles). The fried rice with shrimp came with good size shrimp. The crab Rangoon is also packed with filling and you can tell they change their oil frequently. We also enjoyed their beef lo mein and sesame chicken. Their food is not salty, but if you like that add a little salt yourself to bring out a tad more flavor. Don’t plan on dining in, it’s not the greatest atmosphere. It is clean but clearly meant for carry out first.“

From the service (I'm so sorry that I didn't get his name, but he was a younger guy, working at 7:30 on 6/18 and it was his mom's birthday....if that helps up identify which worker)....he was super nice and super helpful! Please pass along how great he is!! But besides the service, the food was AMAZING! I've been in search of a new place, and I'm beyond happy that I happened to be getting ice cream, next door, and happened to see their menu in the window. I kept it simple, this time, but I will definitely be back. Both because of the food, and because of the genuinely pleasant nature of the worker.“

“I’m always seeking out new to me places and I’ve heard of this spot from other friends for many years and just recently had the chance to visit. I wish I would’ve visited sooner!

This spot is not much for ambience inside or outside but on the day of my visit they had brisk takeout and the dining room was packed…real quick. I’m sure a lot of folks go here for the Chinese menu items but I was there for the Lao goodies! They did not disappoint!

We had the fried meat balls; a mixed app plate with chicken wings, Lao sausage, and beef jerky; lap beef; and a healthy serving of sticky rice (ok maybe we had 2 to sop up the lap beef).

Flavors were on point. Medium spice had us excited and rolling at the same time as it got spicier throughout the meal for the lap…but it was so good! I can’t wait to go back and try more!

The eggrolls and lo mein were really good and we were happy with them , but the sweet and sour sauce really lacked flavor... the chicken itself was light and crispy and had good flavor, but the sauce on the side was basically red colored water - it added no value to the chicken , was neither sweet or sour... just tasted like nothing... Other than that one menu item, i would come back and recommend this place.“
