“I’ve been coming here off and on for the past 20 years. The past five years, they have done an amazing job improving the quality of their product. My 10-year-old daughter also likes going and picking out all the specialty donuts here. Whenever you buy a dozen donuts, they always throw in a few extras. Been extremely happy with them.“

“This cafe has been on my to go list for a long time as it is about an hour away from where I live. I was greeted by a super friendly and bubbly staff member and was ready to answer any questions I had. I was able to try the majority of their donuts (choco crunch, madagascar vanilla, cookies and cream, ube, and strawberry milk cream). Omg, they were all so fresh and delicious and had a generous filling portion size! I would highly recommend keeping the donuts away from direct sunlight. I kept them in my car for too long, so they melted, but they still were so delicious! When I went, the soft serve machines were not working, so I wasn't able to try the sort serves. I will be coming back again and am looking forward to trying their other donut flavors, the soft serves flavors, and the beverages! The atmosphere was very comfy, cute, and ample seating. I'm so happy I came here!“

“Tldr; help a local business (Sugar and Rhyme in Elgin) thrive so I can always have amazing croissants I have discovered an absolute gem in Elgin. I have been missing out big time. If you haven't been to Sugar and Rhyme yet, and you love croissants, please go. Also I've only tried one latte, but I like it. So report back with your findings on that matter. I went to visit family in Europe back in like 2008. This place makes the best croissant I've had since then. Like, hands down. It's easily of equal quality. I can't get over it. The donuts are made fresh every day, and they they post specials on their social medias. There is a wide selection of donuts and it’s hard to pick because everything is so good!

I also really like the made to order breakfast sandwiches, you can order them a couple of different ways, but we really like the croissants. $7 for a huge sandwich and a coffee seems like a great deal!

The staff are all really friendly and I like the ambiance, it’s kind of churchy.“
