From the first meeting to the day of, Jo’s execution of our desserts was more than I could have imagined. We had so many compliments on our different cake options: lemon-lavender, mocha, and cherry almond. Jo even made some chocolate gluten-free cupcakes for a few of our guests. I’m so grateful to Jo and Jay for their work and look forward to the next time I can use them for a special occasion.“

“This is our go to bakery in the area when we need a birthday cake. This particular cake was a Black Forest with whipped icing. My only complaint was that it didn’t have enough chocolate shavings. Other than that their cakes are always delicious, moist and priced right, including this one.“

“I can't say enough good things about Eye Candy Bake Shop! It's hands down the best gluten-free bakery I've ever visited. The donuts are incredible—yeasty, fluffy, and they taste just like regular donuts, if not better. You'd never know they were gluten-free. Every treat I've tried here is amazing; nothing has that typical gluten-free texture or taste. If you're looking for the best desserts ever, this is the place to go!“

“Beautiful Asian style cakes with delicate flavours. We ordered the matcha #2 cloud cake and it certainly was like biting into one. The filling was made with fresh cream and we appreciated the softness of the sponge. However, the matcha flavour was not strong enough and we wished that the sponge had a bit more structure, so that it bites like a cake rather than a trifle. The cake was also a bit pricey.“

“This cafe has been on my to go list for a long time as it is about an hour away from where I live. I was greeted by a super friendly and bubbly staff member and was ready to answer any questions I had. I was able to try the majority of their donuts (choco crunch, madagascar vanilla, cookies and cream, ube, and strawberry milk cream). Omg, they were all so fresh and delicious and had a generous filling portion size! I would highly recommend keeping the donuts away from direct sunlight. I kept them in my car for too long, so they melted, but they still were so delicious! When I went, the soft serve machines were not working, so I wasn't able to try the sort serves. I will be coming back again and am looking forward to trying their other donut flavors, the soft serves flavors, and the beverages! The atmosphere was very comfy, cute, and ample seating. I'm so happy I came here!“

“An excellent experience for our first visit!!! Plenty of parking, greeted immediately upon entering and guided to a booth. The menu has a HUGE amount of selections and large portions too!!! Can’t wait to try out more for future breakfast and lunch visits. Our waitress? Samantha was very attentive to our needs and checked on us several times during our visit. She did things for us that we normally have to request at other restaurants. A clean and inviting atmosphere!!! The owner is down to earth and knows what diners want. They are relatively new to the area, but I see a long term relationship. Try them and see for yourself, you won’t be disappointed!!!“

“This is the 2nd year I've placed a delivery order with NBC for my daughter at Wheaton Univ. to share with her friends. The mini bundts were extremely well-liked. I considered going elsewhere, this year, but nobody else could do a last min. order. So, I went with NBC, again. I felt guilty looking elsewhere! The owners are so nice and accommodating. The flavors are so amazing! And, once again, my daughter is the most popular girl in her friend group for, at least, a day thanks to NBC!“

I can only imagine how hard it must be for small businesses like this one during these unprecedented times, but I'm glad that I was able to surprise my sisters and support them at the same time. I found Hansens Edible Photos and immediately called the number and talked to Pat, and she was so kind and helpful and could do my order within a couple days! We coordinated pickup time and she left it out on her porch for a no-contact pickup, and had detailed instructions. I will definitely use her again!“
