“A very creative kitchen serves up surprising dishes in every course, even dessert, where many restaurants just go through the motions. They also serve up cocktails that you are not likely to see anywhere else. What comes as no surprise, is that they are a Michelin starred restaurant.“

“We had high hope for this place and it started out fine. However, everything fall apart in the two main courses. The pork cheek was so overwhelmingly salty, it ruined all the taste and memories from the previous dishes. And the Wagyu preparation was the worst in all the places we have had it. The evening starts with sweeter notes and to match it with wine pairing, they had to serve a Tokaji. And then again we were served a sweeter wine at the end with the desserts. This sweet, super salty and then sweet taste failed to set a theme for the courses. Beginning courses were beautifully plated. Overall, it did not reach the level of expectations. One a side note, the service was very good, however many times it felt robotic. Like in future, if you are served by robots, it will be like that. Two people will come, and synchronize to place and take you plates at the same time. The feel of awkwardness is there. The ambience was the best though.“

Our waitress taylor was incredible and the manager (so sorry but we never got his name because he was just being so nice to us) was incredible as well. “We dined at Topaz in August 2024 and had a wonderful experience. The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming. We were seated in a comfortable booth. A special mention goes to our server, Sasa, who was incredibly attentive and provided great suggestions. He even surprised us with complimentary limoncellos, which were absolutely delicious. For appetizers, we had the grilled octopus and hummus—both prepared to perfection and bursting with flavor. For the main course, we chose the Dover sole and Amish chicken. These dishes were exceptional and stood out as some of the best we've ever had. The potatoes served with the sole were also a delightful surprise. Portions were generous, and the prices were quite reasonable considering the quality and quantity of the food. We highly recommend Topaz and will definitely be returning!“

“Although I hear they have good smashburgers had a taste for wings. It's rare to find places that will give you the whole wing. Only downside, I wish they were a little bigger and on the online menu it pictured it came with coleslaw. It did come with fries that were nice and crispy. Overall, the meal was good and hot by the time I made it back home.“

Starting from the first day that we went to see The Elm we were treated with the upmost respect and professionalism. We had our ceremony in the Kensington room, and our reception in the Madison room. I fell in love with their Cookie Dough Cinnamon Roll my first time coming here. Unfortunately it’s no longer on the menu as they’ve made some recipe changes but the Killer Skillet and the McDowell Burger was absolutely outstanding! Whoever reads this review and is deciding on whether they should come here or not…do yourself a favor and just come. You won’t be disappointed!“

The service was mostly attentive, which made for a pleasant visit. However, when it came to the food, I was disappointed. I ordered the Southern Catfish Combo, expecting a hearty meal, but what I received didn’t match the advertised portion. Instead of two full pieces of catfish, it was just one filet cut in half, which felt misleading. Unfortunately, my experience was further dampened by an interaction with one of the waiters. While handing us our takeout boxes, he went out of his way to avoid any contact with our hands, which felt uncomfortably intentional. Moments like this can leave a lasting impression, and it was disappointing to experience such behavior in an otherwise well-regarded establishment. Overall, while the ambiance was great, the food and certain aspects of the service left much to be desired. I hope to give them another try in the future under better circumstances.“
