Had a bartender named Jim kid was phenomenal, newer kid so I got a variety of drinks and he killed it. Will 100% be coming back soon no way am I going years between visits. “Every time I visit Chicago I have to stop in continental and say hi to one of the nicest, greatest bartenders I’ve had the pleasure to receive a soda water and bitters from. His name is Kyle, but known to many as Tex Houlihan. Great atmosphere. Great service. Great soda water.“

“My sister had a special event there and every was exquisite from the food to the atmosphere. Unfortunately, the bar tender was rude, very unprofessional, he made the experience with us very lack luster. If that is the person serving our drinks I wouldn't trust because before the end of the night he would serve us drinks or food. yet he still served everyone else.“

“I attended a party in the party room. There was a cash bar in the room and the attendants were really nice. The room was a very nice size. They allow you to decorate. There are about 10 round tables and chairs provided as well. In addition, you can also bring your own food. Even with the table and chairs, there was space for the dessert table, DJ booth as well as a balloon arch with backdrop for photos. Oh, one final thing, the room has its own entrance from the parking lot and two bathrooms for your party guests.“

“Chuck's has quite a few Cajun inspired dishes on the menu. My friend enjoyed her chicken fried steak, I think it was. It looked very good. The cheese curds were delicious! My baked potato was good and I also enjoyed my coleslaw. I think Chuck's has good food. I've been there more than a few times.“

“I came here for a couple drinks with a few friends after work. They have a lot of good options to drink including Delirium. The bartender was very nice and you could tell she had some regulars that she enjoyed talking with. They also have free pool if you’re into that. Overall, it was a solid time.“

“We came here after dinner and really enjoyed the experience. It has a speakeasy vibe. Since it was a weekday, there were only a few other people there and we were able to get couch seating. I really enjoyed the intimate and private feel of being there. I would love to go back again, but I expect the prime date nights would be very busy.“

“Just had lunch with my neighbor Jorge and as usual was NOT disappointed! Chris was her usual friendly self. She’s always on the ball about pleasing people and sending them home happy and full. Rose was the waitress everyone dreams of. Patient and funny all in the same breath. If you haven’t been to LaVilla I highly recommend a visit. You will want to return again and again! I’d be there more often but I have no self control. 🤣“

“walked by randomly on a Wednesday and went to the bar where I heard some music. the band was excellent, a really unique style, but brilliant. but the best part was meeting Thomas, the bar manager. as soon as I walked in he greeted me warmly and upon hearing it's my first time in Chicago, a shot was poured and I got the lowdown on local beers. I had a good chat with Thomas and could see how he was well liked by everyone there. would love to go back“

The bathroom needs to be gutted. It’s terrible. I got water all over my self from something leaking. Looks like they have put 30 coats of paint over everything. It’s falling apart in there! The lighting in the bar was terrible. It literally feels like I’m in a dark basement. I would love to see this place get an over haul because it was great potential with the nice staff and great customers. Very very very welcoming!!“
