“Truly amazing family owned and operated restaurant. Stopped in to get brunch and they have a nice small menu but plenty of food options for everyone. Opted to go with the Santa Fe skillet and a michelada, skillet was really good and hearty with a good portion of food. The michelada was top notch I think it has to be the best one I’ve had. They do open for dinner as well but have yet to make it, it is under new ownership and the restaurant has been remodeled and upgraded and it looks fantastic. Will be going back to try more items in their menu, would recommend it!“

From its comfortable yet elegant design to the unique menu, every detail was carefully considered. The food was delicious and thoughtfully presented, and the service was excellent. We were fortunate to visit on a very warm day towards the end of September. We sat on the fully screened-in veranda and enjoyed the scenery in comfort. Our favorite is the Blues Jam on the last Sunday of each month. Great food and drinks. Shoutout to Anna and Felix for friendly service as well as Savio and Madcat.“

They have Fish Fry on Fridays but I’ve never had it but I want to. The owners are great and their sexy son, Chad, works some nights and is great eye candy for the ladies. If you want a bartender that serves up honesty along with great drinks, Jimmy is your man. He’s brutally honest so ask him to roast you for a good time. He once referred to a customer as the Vampire of Fun and he was spot on. Tiffany is a ball of energy, whose spirit is infectious. If you’re having a bad day, go during her shifts and she’ll pick you up immediately. Gale is the last bartender I’ve interacted with who works there. He’s a cool calm dude who can tell you some of the most interesting facts of the area. He’s also a caterer and a butcher when not at the bar. Theres someone for everyone here and if you’re in from out of town or just traveling through, have a stop at Hoppes just so you can say you’ve been there.“

A great place to relax as you wait for a train or a great place to unwind after a day downtown and long train ride.“

“The staff have been really rude to me ever since I pointed out that my tab was wrong and I was overcharged. I wasn't upset about the double charges, I just wanted them corrected. I've barely been waited on since then it seems. I tried to step in a help once when a patron had been over served. It wasn't welcomed at all. I was given the same look as I get when I walk up to the bar to get a drink. Too bad, it's really close to home to me. I haven't been in over a year and have no plans on returning.“
