“Stopped in on a whim after seeing a pop-up on FB about this amazing five star Tavern. We were pleasantly surprised when we were welcomed as we walked through the door. The atmosphere was inviting and the service top notch! The food was above and beyond what we expected. We had the fish specials, both were deliciously out of this world! “In 2017, I picked up my older brother at Midway to come home to the funeral of our youngest brother that committed suicide at 23 yers old. We swung over to Vito and Nick's to get a pizza and talk. It was our first time there. We ended up telling the waitress the situation because we had both been crying. Next thing we know, the kitchen had par-baked like 8 large pizzas of all types, and gave us a hand-written note giving us condolences and instructions on how to finish baking the pizzas. They said they wanted to make sure my family was well-fed in our time of tragedy ❤ And the pizza is INCREDIBLE ❤ SPECIAL, SPECIAL PLACE“

“The food was excellent. We were a party of 6 and everyone had something different. Portion sizes were large. Food was piping hot when served. Wait staff was friendly. The owner came over to check on our group at least twice during our dining experience. Loved the atmosphere. I will come here every time I’m visiting Chicago!“

“Where do I even start... The establishment is unlike anything I've experienced so far, the place feels magical for both kids and grown-ups alike. When you step in for the first time, it feels akin to a fun, fantastical experience coming to life. This place is a great experience alone, but trust me, it's best when visiting with some company; you could even bring your sister to this location. As for the staff, they know what they do and take their job seriously: they don't treat their job as some sort of pizzeria simulator. The pizza they serve is catered to your specifications, allowing you to have the ultimate custom experience any night. Don't get me wrong, this place is still prone to human error, but the staff is capable of providing help when wanted. Aside from the inevitable human error (and unsubstantiated rumors involving disappearances) the only downside is the lack of a warning when accessing the free wifi, if you do want to use the free wifi, just remember to use a VPN to prevent a security breach on your device. Personally, I reccomend it over any of the other copycat locations; I don't know the secret of the success of mimic locations, but having already patronized here for 5 nights, I know that I will always come back.“

“I was finally able to come here. I actually found this place through social media then I double checked the reviews on Google and Yelp, to ensure that it was good. It’s located in Pilsen. They do have free street parking but you have to look and double check the signs. It’s harder to find spots at night on a Saturday, when we went. You can also pay $3 an hour and park at the Ray Castro plaza.

When you walk inside, they have about 5-6 tables on the left give or take, then the bleachers on the right. You order then they bring it out to you. We ordered a 16” half margherita half longanisa & giardiniera tavern style pizza. It took about 45 mins. This pizza is good for 3-4 people. We ordered fries in the mean time to munch on. These are tasty since they are crunchy and not soggy. We also ordered an agua fresca ( made in house) and amor eterno drink. Both drinks were great. The service was half good half bad. The taller guy provided exceptional customer service. There was a shorter, skinnier guy that provided some very weak service. He looked like he didn’t want to be there. I had to ask him 3-4 times for a container to go. It takes 30 secs or less to do it. Minus half a star.

The pizza itself was delicious. The longanisa is a Filipino sausage that is on the sweeter side. The longanisa’s sweeter side helps balance out the giardinera’s spicier side. This was not overly salted. I don’t really trust reviews that can’t even provide a picture. No picture = did not happen. The margherita was delicious and savory. We also got ube and horchata ice cream, it comes in a good size cup for $7. The flavors taste great together almost like a Cinnamon Toast Crunch cereal with ube. Overall it’s a 4.5.“

“Just had their steak (carne asada) tacos! Absolutely fantastic! The green salsa is on point! Very generous on the size of their tacos. I'm extremely picky when it comes to getting tacos in fact I only like my tacos from one or two taco places in all of Chicago. “No doubt the pizza’s are amazing but once we bring them home they do not taste good as we dine in at eat. Also, not only me but alot of people have noticed how rude the guy is who picks up the call. I am giving my order over the phone and he rushes me because he has someone coming in his restaurant. Next , I ask him couple of questions which he shows so much attitude. Third , I hate dining in this place . The guy keeps checking to see if we didn’t make the tables or floor messy. No kind of professionalism. We do not eat free . We tried the Malnati family-sized salad, which is very generous, had left-overs despite feeding four hungry people. We also tried the Deep Dish Chicago Classic, which was really tasty. No top crust, just the buttermilk bottom crust, which is very tasty in itself.

The music was a bit too loud, given the place was not busy. Also, a bit on the cold side.
