“This is the BEST sushi place I have been to. My wife and I have been coming regularly for the past year and have never had a bad experience. The staff are incredibly friendly, everyone greets you when you walk in and walk out. It’s a real special place.
The food is amazing too!!! Out of all the sushi places we have visited, this is number one and has become our go to place.
Do yourself a favor and order the miso soup! It’s the best!!“

“I beg my partner to take me here as a treat. Best sushi place to dine in, at Waukegan. I love it here 😭. They have so many different options, and the food is always delicious, the presentation is always there too. The service is always friendly and quick. Things can add up pretty quickly, but I’ll definitely keep coming back for the sushi! The Foxy Roll is my new favorite. I wish they had more desert options though. It’s never hard to find parking but the roads to the parking lot could use repairs.“

“Are you in the mood for sea food? One of the best local restaurant Umai Sushi & Hibachi has great selections of sea food dishes and sushi. We order takeout once in while and always have a great experience, the ingredients are always fresh and we are always craving more. Highly recommended 👌 👍“

Let's start with the food; They have quite a variety of food, good quality ingredients although nothing different or a reference point, I consider that their quality-cost-portion ratio is still in good balance, I would recommend perhaps improving the speed in food preparation a little .
Service, just good, nothing bad, nothing to highlight, it only remains as something that would not provide added value.
Regarding the environment, it is good, enough spaces for people, you can interact with the people you go to without any restrictions, you can go with your family, friends without any problem.“

“Very kind gentleman who offered a sample of teriyaki chicken… That what got me to get food here lol. He was quick and piled as much food as humanly possible into the box. They definitely make sure you have enough for lunch AND dinner (if you can’t finish it all in one sitting). Good price for the amount of food you get, definitely recommend.“

Very grateful she took my needs seriously since I fast on Wednesday's/Friday's & can only eat vegan. She went above & beyond to make sure my needs were meet! & as I was waiting I noticed how clean the area is. & once I got my order it came out so fresh; plan on visiting again! & thank you for the great experience!“

“Amazing food and service. I drove in from Chicago to take my mom out for her birthday. Living in Chicago I am used to good food. I was pleasantly surprised at how great everything there was. There were five of us and we each enjoyed what we ordered. We ordered both from the Thai and the Japanese menu. we plan to go back. The weight staff was very attentive.“
