“Classic roadside stand in Thomson for ice cream and fast food. It was on a drive along the Mississippi River that we came across it, which is one of the few places to eat in town. Bear's Drive-Inn caught our attention with the big bear on the side of the building. Pretty basic drinks and food as expected. The prices are pretty good for the area it seems. About the only people who come here are the locals and those who happen across it whole coming through going to somewhere else. It was warm and we thought to stop here. This is like the local version of Dairy Queen it seems. Got some cold treats including the Frazil. It's about $1.50 for the small one. This is basically a slushie. As for the hot food, it's basic. It's about $3 for a pretzel. This may be the healthiest food really. Other items are burgers and hot dogs. These looked pretty greasy from what we could see. Of course don't expect healthy. This is one of the few places to eat for miles. Has okay stuff but it's a classic. It's pretty easy to spot with the big bear on it. They're cash only, which is another bad thing.“

“We were passing through Iowa on a road trip, I could not imagine a better place to stop!The owner was also the server and bartender, and can't be sure, but maybe also the chef? She was super sweet and all the food we got was really good. Really awesome small town bar feel with seemingly lots of regulars hanging around. “Went for the AYCE Whiting on a Friday and left full and happy. There was a bit of a wait for my food to come out but service was very friendly and the fish itself was delicious and worth the wait. “We came in for a later dinner, 8pm. We had the best food!! More importantly we had a top notch waitress that went above and beyond!!! Chelsea came to take out order while the other waitress just walked by us to help peoplethat arrivd severalminutesafter us. “We stopped by while at a wrestling tournament. The waitress/cashier was friendly and very attentive. We got our food to go & it was ready quick. Our order was accurate, the food was hot, and everything we needed was in the bag. They have a huge menu and the portions are very generous. We all enjoyed our food. Wish we were in Clinton more often so we could visit more!“

Line dancing come and learn the dancers would relish teaching you or if your capable jump in and show em what you know. A great time in a great atmosphere and a crew second to none. “First time eating here at this little family restaurant. We ordered a Western Skillet and a Chicken Fiesta Skillet. Both were very good. The restaurant was quiet and not overly crowded. If you like cheese this is a great skillet. It was stringy and gooey and different than just melted cheese on top of everything else. I would eat here again. Just a note that on card transactions they charge a 3.9% fee.“
“Great food! Great friendly service! Try their Swedish pancakes with lingonberry sauce or ANY of their breakfast skillets! You can have your eggs anyway you like, including poached! My bacon was served exactly how I like it without me asking, not limp and not too crisp! We'll be back again soon!“
“Honestly, one of the best pork tenderloins we've found! I really enjoyed the topping options. I got a spicy tenderloin and my husband got a horseshoe tenderloin. Also, they have half price apps during the week from 2-5, so that was a pleasant surprise!“
“This place was totally amazing!! The food was awesome as was the service. We loved looking at all the motorcycles hanging around. The gift shop was pretty fun and some shirts we really laughed at! LOVED sitting on the toilet seats at the bar. LOL. The outside area had 3 to 4 bars, a creek landing area that people were getting out of a kayak on, a tattoo shop, several stages for music, many eating areas and a camping area!! We visited in July 2023“

Our son are a 1 pound hamburger ?. Said it was good. Wish they had regular seating. Not a fan of bar stools.“
