“I was in town for Cicada research and after a long first day, Rosie's was suggested by multiple people. I had the Special and (it was steak skewers thar night) everything was prepared beautifully. The staff are amazing. By request, I returned the favor and fed them. Fried Cicadas. kitchen staff, wait staff and bartenders. all of them are skilled and have great personalities. I will go out of my way to return. Thank you on behalf of myself and the "Name That Bug!" community.“

“This labyrinthian, enigmatic Culver's location is conveniently located near the Interstate and the county fairgrounds. Its bizarre, non-Euclidean layout complements their excellent food and service. After a long day at a convention, there's nothing I enjoy more than that first sip of Culver's root beer within an environment that slowly pecks away at my sanity with every breath I draw. “Great stay here coming into town for a little work get together with my boyfriend! Loved the decor inside and how they have everything set up. Very lovely atmosphere. Greeted at the front desk promptly by Adrianna, who was super sweet and friendly. She helped to check us in, and even humored our request to upgrade our two Queen beds to a single King, as well as a room with a balcony! Which was absolutely amazing! Made our stay 10x better. Event went great, we were back at the hotel for a wonderful stay, and in the morning we had an even better experience! We woke up early to indulge in the variety of breakfast and drink choices, and the welcoming company of Barb, Margo and Sandra! These ladies are all wonderful at what they do. Barb went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and connected with us on a meaningful level that left us feeling incredibly blessed! We are so glad to have met her and had a beautiful stay. The chef(s) and wait staff did excellent! The only minor inconveniences we had were that the lids were not properly fitting the coffee cups, and for the life of us we could not find the invisible vending machine, so I guess it’s doing its job. :P Thank you! Can’t wait to come back for a little out of town stay sometime!“

“Looking to replace Denny's for early morning breakfast. Another story, another time.
6 am opening, perfect. Had steak and eggs. Exactly what I ordered. Waitress checked on me more than once after food was served. Music was 80's but not too loud to have conversation. All in all, I will be back.“

“I recently went to the Hy-Vee bakery looking for a cake for my sons birthday. As I was looking through the cake selection book I happened to look over and up behind the bakery counter and I saw the most fantastic cheeseburger cake. I spoke with Monika, and found out that it was a specialty cake that she had just added to display. I asked if it was possible to customize it as my son eats plain hamburgers and would find the humor in that and Monika was very accommodating. The cake turned out so amazing. Monika is so creative and the cake turned out so good. A big THANK YOU to Monika for being just so nice and accommodating but also a fantastic creator of beautiful tasty cakes!“

“Desthil is one of the few places my friend with food sensitiveies can eat. Last minute she was in town and we decided to grab early dinner at Desthil. I didnt realize it was high-school homecoming and ISU family weekend. Christopher got us right in despite the rush. Service was wonderful. Thank you Desthil!!

“We had an amazing meal, and amazing service from Gregory! We had the smoked ribs which were excellent, fish and chips, mushroom pasta, meatloaf, caesar salad with filet, and the short ribs. We had the calamari for an appetizer. Everything was delicious, and beautifully plated! We had the crème brulèe for dessert which was made by Daniel who made the BEST crème brulèe we have ever had from Revery, or anywhere! Gregory is the most exceptional server anywhere! He promptly checked in and explained the menu, and standout items. He is exceptionally knowledgeable about gluten and corn allergies, and was able to show me which items are safe, or could be made safe. We had an amazing time, and would recommend Revery to anyone! They also have a kids menu for the littles in your group.“

“The food here is usually really good. It's a nice burger joint on campus located in the Student Bone Center. One thing I noticed is that some of the staff is usually unfriendly, but not all of the time. The food does take a really long time to come out though.“

“We stopped in for a late lunch and it was terrific! My husband and I split the tenderloin lunch that was one of today's specials and we got an order of tots with it. Knowing we were splitting it they delivered with everything divided on 2 plates, how nice. Tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the breading was crunchy awesomeness. Tots were crispy and delicious. Serving sizes are huge, service very good and the staff are friendly. The daily specials change daily and are always very good.“

“After years we finally tried Annie’s and we were not disappointed. I had their smoked burger and fries they recommended the mustard sauce with it. Excellent addition and suggestion. The other food we had was the brisket plate with a corn muffin, cole slaw and potato salad. The brisket on its own was delicious so tender. The various sauces just added to the flavors of the brisket. The amount of food you get for what you pay is such a good price, definitely wont go hungry. We will definitely be back.“
