“I was in town for Cicada research and after a long first day, Rosie's was suggested by multiple people. I had the Special and (it was steak skewers thar night) everything was prepared beautifully. The staff are amazing. By request, I returned the favor and fed them. Fried Cicadas. kitchen staff, wait staff and bartenders. all of them are skilled and have great personalities. I will go out of my way to return. Thank you on behalf of myself and the "Name That Bug!" community.“

“A decent amount of gluten-free options was a plus for my wife. The menu was a little confusing. When we got our check, almost everything was an uncharge. That's fine, but I prefer to know beforehand. Service was good. We'll be back just for the gluten-free menu. I had the prime rib with twice baked potato and salad. My wife had a GF rice dish with asparagus tips & shrimp. It was really asparagus stems (not tips). I got the butter gooey cake and she got the GF chocolate truffle.“

“What a perfect little place with a great atmosphere!! The goat cheese balls and the potstickers are absolutely amazing! I had a season salad which was wonderful and the strawberry ganache cake is my new all-time favorite dessert!!!! Friendly, fast service!!! “One of the best meals we've had.
Service was outstanding and they let us know that each dish was made to order so requests to modity any dish for dietary or personal preference was an option. The baked brie with bacon jam was delicious. I am a chets worst nightmare because I like my steak well done. I don't know how they did it, but it was perfectly cooked and so tender and flavorful! We were too full for desert but will be back to try them out.“

“Great stay here coming into town for a little work get together with my boyfriend! Loved the decor inside and how they have everything set up. Very lovely atmosphere. Greeted at the front desk promptly by Adrianna, who was super sweet and friendly. She helped to check us in, and even humored our request to upgrade our two Queen beds to a single King, as well as a room with a balcony! Which was absolutely amazing! Made our stay 10x better. Event went great, we were back at the hotel for a wonderful stay, and in the morning we had an even better experience! We woke up early to indulge in the variety of breakfast and drink choices, and the welcoming company of Barb, Margo and Sandra! These ladies are all wonderful at what they do. Barb went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and connected with us on a meaningful level that left us feeling incredibly blessed! We are so glad to have met her and had a beautiful stay. The chef(s) and wait staff did excellent! The only minor inconveniences we had were that the lids were not properly fitting the coffee cups, and for the life of us we could not find the invisible vending machine, so I guess it’s doing its job. :P Thank you! Can’t wait to come back for a little out of town stay sometime!“

“Looking to replace Denny's for early morning breakfast. Another story, another time.
6 am opening, perfect. Had steak and eggs. Exactly what I ordered. Waitress checked on me more than once after food was served. Music was 80's but not too loud to have conversation. All in all, I will be back.“

“I recently went to the Hy-Vee bakery looking for a cake for my sons birthday. As I was looking through the cake selection book I happened to look over and up behind the bakery counter and I saw the most fantastic cheeseburger cake. I spoke with Monika, and found out that it was a specialty cake that she had just added to display. I asked if it was possible to customize it as my son eats plain hamburgers and would find the humor in that and Monika was very accommodating. The cake turned out so amazing. Monika is so creative and the cake turned out so good. A big THANK YOU to Monika for being just so nice and accommodating but also a fantastic creator of beautiful tasty cakes!“

“The food here is usually really good. It's a nice burger joint on campus located in the Student Bone Center. One thing I noticed is that some of the staff is usually unfriendly, but not all of the time. The food does take a really long time to come out though.“

“Desthil is one of the few places my friend with food sensitiveies can eat. Last minute she was in town and we decided to grab early dinner at Desthil. I didnt realize it was high-school homecoming and ISU family weekend. Christopher got us right in despite the rush. Service was wonderful. Thank you Desthil!!

“We stopped in for a late lunch and it was terrific! My husband and I split the tenderloin lunch that was one of today's specials and we got an order of tots with it. Knowing we were splitting it they delivered with everything divided on 2 plates, how nice. Tenderloin was perfectly cooked and the breading was crunchy awesomeness. Tots were crispy and delicious. Serving sizes are huge, service very good and the staff are friendly. The daily specials change daily and are always very good.“
