“I was in town for Cicada research and after a long first day, Rosie's was suggested by multiple people. I had the Special and (it was steak skewers thar night) everything was prepared beautifully. The staff are amazing. By request, I returned the favor and fed them. Fried Cicadas. kitchen staff, wait staff and bartenders. all of them are skilled and have great personalities. “Food was ok but felt like it was a little pricey for the quantity and quality we got. We had 3 adults one just ordered a sandwich with no sides and water to drink, I had just a corn dog and fries that was overcooked and the 2 kids split a meal. Then we had ice cream cones for dessert and our bill was $78! We could have eaten at a nicer restaurant for the price that we paid and had a better meal.“

He makes the best drinks in town and will even create something unique based on our tastes. We had so much fun at the bar last night that we skipped our dinner reservations in the dining room and enjoyed our anniversary dinner at the bar. “My wife and I had a great experience! It was her birthday and our first time dining at Baxters. The service was very good. The food was excellent. My wife is very particular about how her steak is cooked, and she was very pleased. Also, I wrote a note when making reservations about surprising my wife with candles on her cheesecake for dessert. “Great stay here coming into town for a little work get together with my boyfriend! Loved the decor inside and how they have everything set up. Very lovely atmosphere. Greeted at the front desk promptly by Adrianna, who was super sweet and friendly. She helped to check us in, and even humored our request to upgrade our two Queen beds to a single King, as well as a room with a balcony! Which was absolutely amazing! Made our stay 10x better. Event went great, we were back at the hotel for a wonderful stay, and in the morning we had an even better experience! We woke up early to indulge in the variety of breakfast and drink choices, and the welcoming company of Barb, Margo and Sandra! These ladies are all wonderful at what they do. Barb went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed and connected with us on a meaningful level that left us feeling incredibly blessed! We are so glad to have met her and had a beautiful stay. The chef(s) and wait staff did excellent! The only minor inconveniences we had were that the lids were not properly fitting the coffee cups, and for the life of us we could not find the invisible vending machine, so I guess it’s doing its job. :P Thank you! Can’t wait to come back for a little out of town stay sometime!“

Service was outstanding and they let us know that each dish was made to order so requests to modity any dish for dietary or personal preference was an option. The baked brie with bacon jam was delicious. I am a chets worst nightmare because I like my steak well done. I don't know how they did it, but it was perfectly cooked and so tender and flavorful! We were too full for desert but will be back to try them out.“

“I recently went to the Hy-Vee bakery looking for a cake for my sons birthday. As I was looking through the cake selection book I happened to look over and up behind the bakery counter and I saw the most fantastic cheeseburger cake. I spoke with Monika, and found out that it was a specialty cake that she had just added to display. I asked if it was possible to customize it as my son eats plain hamburgers and would find the humor in that and Monika was very accommodating. The cake turned out so amazing. Monika is so creative and the cake turned out so good. A big THANK YOU to Monika for being just so nice and accommodating but also a fantastic creator of beautiful tasty cakes!“

“The food here is usually really good. It's a nice burger joint on campus located in the Student Bone Center. One thing I noticed is that some of the staff is usually unfriendly, but not all of the time. The food does take a really long time to come out though.“

“I’m the FedEx guy for Lexington…and for nearly 4 years I’ve had to drive by, or deliver to, this establishment and be teased by the smells within. Today I was finally able to dine there, and my god…delicious. Italian Beef was ample and savory, wash it down with an Illinois Stout and you’re in business.“
