“Tried the new menu item Gyros. Hope they keep it on the menu. They were great. The Tzatziki Sauce which makes a Gyro was perfect with enough cucumbers. We now have a new place to go to for Gyros. Last, I had just about everything on their menu and everything is delicious.“

“Regardless of which location you go to whether some if not all locations are owned by the same person/family, you can never go wrong with Sammie's.

Whether it's a Chicago-style dog, Italian beef sandwich, gyros, burger ( Samburger) or Maxwell St. Polish sausage, fries; Sammie's knows how to do it and they do Chicago-style grub extremely well.

First time ever trying this particular location was this past April and was definitely well worth the price. Chicago-style food is a way of life and a culture that should be practiced if living in the Chicago area.

Clean dining room with friendly service and delicious bites at still reasonable prices make this venue another hot spot for awesome Chicago fare. I wish for many years of continued boomin' business for the owner(s).“

“so ordered combination teriyaki and garlic parmesan wings and an order of macaroni and cheese, the teriyaki wings were fairly saucy and reasonably tasty move on to the garlic parmesan wings which had zero sauce however they did have Parmesan on them. according to the manager they didn't have any sauce on it so they parmesan them up. now let's move on to the macaroni and cheese I've had macaroni and cheese out of the box from Aldi that had thicker cheese sauce. so I questioned the manager about this his exacting answer to me was we buy our ingredients for that at Walmart. so you buy your ingredients from Walmart when you're a restaurant so that's not actually acceptable and the lake county health department standards for a restaurant. you could literally pour the cheese sauce out of the cup so I question the manager on both of these and he's the one that told me this and didn't seem to give any care about our dinner... so I'm just leaving this up for everybody else they don't seem to care. didn't offer to make anything right and well they will never get our money again. if you want some macaroni and cheese Heck just go to Walmart and buy some you might get the better quality than they make.“

“I ordered catering from Eggville Cafe a friend of mine said their catering was amazing and I had a family gathering coming up I had to try it out! Everything was perfectly cooked they had so many different options to choose from I ordered the kebabs and a side salad, some potatoes some meatballs and a couple other things that they threw in everything tasted amazing. It was delicious and was reasonably priced if you were looking for catering for any event like a graduation coming up or birthday or family gatherings I definitely highly recommend them they were amazing and they got everything I wanted and more!!“

“My good friend Maureen threw a party here for her granddaughter’s 9th birthday a few weeks ago and the owner/manager Selena went above and beyond to make her day special! She set up tables and extra crowns. There was Halloween coloring sheets for the kids and she made ordering meals and getting drinks for a party of 13 easy!“

“My family of six ate at Culvers in McHenry on Tuesday, Dec 31 about 1:30. We were greeted with a pleasant hello. The lady who took our order got it right and was pleasant.Since were a group of 6, I figured it would take a little longer to get our order. That wasn't the case. Not only did the order come quickly, but is also accurate. That was wonderful! When we were nearing the end of our meal, a gentleman, (Jude, I believe) can around with free samples of the flavor of the day (Mint explosion). Never has that happened at Colvers to me in the many times I eat at different Culvers! What a nice touch! Upon leaving, we got a cheery Thank you, have a great day and happy new year. I wish I lived a little closer because Culvers in McHenry would definitely be my go to place. Thank you for good food and the kindness you all showed.“

“Kooker’s is my favorite lunch time spot when I’m at the office for the day. They make their own natural cut fries that I love cooked well done. They have daily specials that are great deals, although all of their prices are fair. They have limited seating, but you can call ahead and pick up an order and I think they do delivery. When there, make sure you look at the specialty board that is to the right of the register. There you will find items that are not on the regular menu. Today I had the poutine with pulled pork—amazing. I highly recommend this locally-owned burger (and a lot more) joint.“

Typically we play it safe with the BOGO Double Butter Burger Deluxe burgers w/o bread but tonite we were feeling like a change of pace so I took a chance a called to what other GF options we had.
