“I’ve been going to Burton’s for years while visiting family in the area. The food is old school homemade goodness and affordable! I recently ordered 6 pies for an event. The white, cherry and apple. They were an amazing hit! Nothing but crumbs leftover!! Thanks for becoming a family tradition!!“

“We had an incredible Valentine’s Day dinner at Rare Chop House! From start to finish, everything was exceptional. I ordered the filet with a baked potato, and it was cooked to perfection—tender, flavorful, and exactly what I hoped for. The dessert was equally fantastic, a perfect sweet ending to a great meal. Our server, Sydney, provided outstanding service, making sure everything was just right. It was also a nice touch that the owner and head chef, Jeffrey, came out to personally greet us. That level of hospitality made the evening even more special. Rare Chop House truly delivers on quality, service, and atmosphere. Highly recommend for a special occasion or a great steak any night!“

Our first time there Catfish fillets were so delicious. Seasoned well and clean tasting Brisket dinner mouth watering Will make this our mount Vernon place to go“
“Adding this as a regular stop for us! The ladies at the register are all business and quick. Got us in a shower with no wait that was clean, lots of water pressure, and HOT 🔥 water. Be warned! Lots of room for a team. Lots of places to hang clothes and towels. Nice size vanity counter and two seats, one in shower and one outside. Did I mention clean?! Then we grabbed a couple of slices and some drinks, cleaned the windows and mirrors (squeegee could use replacing), and hit the road again. Less than an hour! BTW- They take Flying J points for shower but they do not issue points on purchases just so you know!“

“Loved this place..Food was amazing..Service was awesome..We went at almost 8 p.m at night when they were almost done serving food but they still gave the best service. We were down in Sesser camping for the weekend so knew we had to go grab a bit to eat the first night since we didn't get food that first night since we were late getting in.“

“The wait was the only problem I had. The food was excellent and the ones that took the longest were removed from the ticket. My steak was prepared perfect, however one of the others I was with had not got their steak well done like they asked. Afterwards, they prepared their steak again well done. The fries of the other guests with me were cold, but they were given hot fries after. Great service for one waiter working with a table of 9. I got the 6 ounce sirloin steak medium rare with broccoli and the four cheese mac and cheese.“

“My team was traveling to a track meet and we stopped here for food! The waitress was wonderful and she made our experience great. The bathrooms were not too dirty although the towels were out.
Overall our experience was good and service was excellent!!!“

“One of the best little hole in the wall spots I've ever been to! Had the hot beef and mash potatoes open face sandwich. They call it a short order but trust me it's worth finding the place! Also, they close early so keep that in mind. We got lucky and zipped in at the last minute and you would never have known they were about to close cause the service and food was amazing still!“
