We recently moved to the area and are searching for our "go-to" restaurants. Gallagher's is on the top of our list! Warm and inviting atmosphere, friendly and professional staff, and fabulous food and drinks. We've dined at Gallagher's twice and have been extremely pleased. Thus far, we've enjoyed filet mignon, sea bass and salmon . . . all prepared perfectly!
Went here for dinner with a girlfriend of mine before going back home and it was a great end to my visit! The food was amazing tasting and the menu was very diverse with many yummy options.The clam chowder had great flavor but was a little thinner than most chowders. I prefer mine a little thicker so it sticks to the bread better. Not a huge deal but my preference. The flatbread was another tasty option but it definitely needed more protein than what was given…or smaller pieces...read full review

What a fantastic venue! We traveled from St Louis over to Waterloo after seeing this recommended numerous times. Location is adorable- the downtown area of Waterloo is super cute with lots of surrounding things. Lights string the roads at night and make for well lit, welcome vibe to walk from place to place.
