“So I got the super gyro it's plenty of food, and it's really, really good. The service is amazing. The guy at the register is super cool and will joke around with you and definitely have you feel like you're talking to your favorite uncle.“
“The lunch specials are a good deal at $14, 2 meats with a giant platter of rice, tomato, little salad and hummus with peta bread.Granted it’s only 2 meats, but with the giant platter of rice it looks like a lot more food for the money. My grilled chicken was moist, tender and flavorful. The beef had great grilled flavor and tender too. It’s nice things were over salted.“
“We LOVE the food there! We tried almost everything, and it was all delicious.I didn't give 5 stars to the atmosphere because the place is too plain for the food they have there. They have, however, personnel for clean up the tables or/and provide additional help if one needs it. There is an older gentleman there, in particular, who is always very nice and helpful.“
“A fantastic brunch with their version of biscuits & gravy and an egg white omelet with Parmesan potatoes. Very attentive service that was timely in bringing out our food and keeping our glasses full, and empty plates removed from the table.“
“The food is extremely delicious, it is like you have travelled to middle east enjoy delicious!! From the moment I step into the restaurant, I am captivated by its inviting and delightful atmosphere. Highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!!“
“The atmosphere for New Year's Eve was lively and loud to be sure. Entering through a back door into a narrow space was odd and not the most welcoming set-up, especially having parked on the street along Milwaukee Ave. The dining area was comfortable, aside from a couple guests who were loud and could be heard from several tables away. Service was good and pleasant though robotic and somewhat forced. The gentleman refilling water was superb and always on his game! We never had less than half a glass full---much appreciated! We came to Chrissoulas, having read excellent reviews. The food was good, including the pasta with chorizo and octopus and gyro. The pork medallions were only three, however, with a whole lot of salad, leaving one guest in our party inadequately full and value for the money poor. Menu options were overpriced in general though not outrageous. Two televisions playing sports over the bar did not seem in keeping with a fine dining establishment, but rather with a sports bar. Overall Chrissoulas was a decent experience with good food but not deserving of the amazing reviews seen elsewhere---a solid 3-4 stars out of 5.“
“This place is a bit unassuming as you approach it. Go in anyway. Sit where you want. The server will come by with a menu, I promise! We had breakfast there. Mine was the Barcelona Skillet, hubby had the chicken fried steak. We both got pancakes and split an order of biscuits and gravy. The pancakes were picture perfect. Slightly bland but that's why there's butter and syrup. Both our entrees were delicious and we took home leftovers. Some of the food was less than piping hot when it arrived which is why I gave it four stars instead of five. The waitress was attentive but not overbearing. The prices were reasonable.“
“Been here multiple times and it is a great experience every time. They are so quick and the food is always so fresh. It is definitely one of my favorite counter-serve restaurants. They have some of the best dressings and meat choices, all for a very reasonable price.“
“Eastern bloc foods served by the nicest family. Nonna showed up and was appalled that I'd been waiting she offered me free honeyed dates, and when she finally rushed my order out, she apologized and gave me an apple. Lovely people. I'll be back.“
“What a great find! Such friendly people and spectacular food! Nice, airy interior -- plenty of space between tables and booths. The appetizers we had were the hummus and baba ganoush, and falafel. Best in the area! The chicken schwarma was delicious, as was the chickpea salad. And try the baklava -- heavenly! We'll be back!“
