“Stopped there to get a simple loaf of wheat bread. But there were very few loaves of bread there to even buy. Waste if time, so won't go back. UPDATE: The owner was nice enough to explain why their stock was low, so now I understand that they don't carry over bread. I did come into the store within 10 minutes of closing, so I will try to come much earlier next time. It sure smelled good in there, too!“

We were blown away at how friendly the owner is, how cool this place is, and HOW DELICIOUS THE FOOD IS!!! We were told to try the clam chowder and anything with jammy bacon. We tried both things and both were so good! This place reminds me of the TV program, Cheers, because it’s very easy to talk with people; we can’t wait to go back next month :-)“

“I ordered a dairy free smash cake and a regular cake from Eye Candy Bake Shop for my daughter’s birthday. Everyone raved about the birthday cake and my daughter loved her personal cake! I was shown how to properly cut the cake and had help bringing the cake to my car - something most bakeries don’t do anymore! We will definitely order more cakes/desserts in the future!“

I checked one last time on the secret menu and was excited to see the Dubai chocolate brownie! I’ve been obsessed with Dubai chocolate and was planning to make these brownies tomorrow! I was literally one minute from the store. I ordered on my app, pulled into the curbside spot, and someone brought me my order within minutes. “I had wanted to visit for awhile as it the name is inviting in a world of burger places.
It has stunning bakery items and sweets!
We went for lunch and hopefully a handmade, fresh sandwich. That was not what we found.
We looked at their menu board and didn't see sandwiches at all. When we asked they pointed to a wall display cooler and said they could microwave any sandwich to warm it up😕
Not what we had in mind.
Sandwiches were ok, but I would not be coming back for lunch. Sweets, definitely 😁“

Staff has always been very friendly and efficient. I always leave feeling quite satisfied and carrying a take out container for another full meal the next day. I’ve also gone to the Saint Charles location where the menu has a few variations but the same great food and service.“

My partner chose gelato, but he was torn between a snack and their hot food items (which sounded very interesting to try)!!! Juliana had the heated patio nice and inviting, and she had great energy. “My first time here. I had the chicken empanada and 2 of the corned beef roll and a large ube matcha latte. I asked them warm of these items for me since I was here during my lunch time. And the lady was so nice and was more than happy to heat them up. The empanada was the most perfect empanada I’ve had in a long time. The crust was o flaky and buttery! “Placed an order for a firefighting themed cake for my brother with such a short notice through Miri Cakes but they still were able to accommodate me! Service at Miri Cakes was beyond wonderful. The chocolate fudge flavor in the cake was phenomenal and super delicious 😋 I was supposed to pick up the cake at a certain time but plans got rearranged so I needed it 2 hours earlier then scheduled time and they STILL made it happen! Definitely will be recommending this place to lots of friends/family. Think this might be my new go to spot for custom cakes!“

“I recently ordered a cupcake decorating kit through their curbside pickup to send to my sisters and brother-in-law. I'm still very impressed with how responsive the owner, Norma, was to my emails and appreciate how thoughtful she was. She asked if I wanted to include a personal message to my sisters and brother-in-law, and I found out today that all of them really enjoyed the cupcakes. I can only imagine how hard it must be for small businesses like this one during these unprecedented times, but I'm glad that I was able to surprise my sisters and support them at the same time.
