“Our family absolutely loves Bb's donuts! We do miss being able to go inside the donut shop. So many wonderful memories taking our little girl there to eat donuts and read a book or two. We have a little boy with Autism and it's not safe for him to sit in front by the busy street because he runs. Wish we could go inside to enjoy donuts & coffee knowing it's something our son would truly enjoy.“

“I grew up in Western Springs, in a house on the “other side of the tracks”. Almost every Sunday, my father and I would go to Kirschbaum’s for a dozen donuts. Those donuts were sooo good.“

I just found my new fave sandwich...the Turkey on a plain toasted bagel and it comes with lettuce, red onion, tomato &some sort of mustard. It's amazing!“

“So today I had a friend in from out of town and we topped off our afternoon with a visit to Miski Bakery. I was dying to try the alfajores, and they did not disappoint! The very delicate morsels melted in our mouth, and the creamy luscious dollop of dulce de leche caramel was a perfect pairing. In addition we tried the Milhojas/Napoleons in two flavors the Lucuma pastry creme and also the dulce de leche. A thousand layers is correct, these were amazingly tall, crispy and filled with air, both were delicious but the Lucuma(a Peruvian fruit) pastry creme was the standout. It had such a delightful delicate flavor I had never tasted previously. After speaking with Carmen the owner I asked whether or not they ever carried Turrón de doñja Pepa. She just happened to have some freshly baked sitting on the tray behind the counter, but alas it was still awaiting its filling. This gives me a great reason to return and indulge in that special treat. It is prepared every other week. The service was warm and friendly. This is definitely a hidden gem in the neighborhood you shouldn't miss out on. I will be returning often.“

I cheated one time and went somewhere else and I was so disappointed, but this place is my go to for any holiday any birthday any occasion they custom make the cake exactly what I’m looking for and it’s always so freaking delicious. “I can’t say enough great things about this place, I make a stop every chance I get! I’ve tried nearly everything, but the Kale scones are amazing! The coffee drinks are great and delicious. I’m a full time working mom, and my parents who watch my baby while I work said the only payment they need is a box of broken tart pastries! The people there are great, they really work as a team and are super efficient. Saturdays beware though, people are lined up, and for good reason!“

Much smaller and worse of all , what happened to the chocolate coating on the donuts. Did you run out? They use to be smothered with chocolate. Very disappointed.“

When I went for the first time I needed a seller because this work like self service, they help me and were so kind. Cookies are expensive but so delicious. The store is too small and it’s confuse because there are two lines, one for order and one for pickup, because of the size of the store it’s kind a mess“

“Do not miss a chance to get a sub from this wonderful shop attached to the bakery here. The ladies inside were very friendly and welcoming and the sandwich was a 10 out of 10. Fresh bread, fresh ingredients, I even watched her snip a few basil leaves off their basil plant in the front window for my sub. Just a really fantastic little shop. Be aware it is cash only but please don't let that stop you.“

The owner Nico (not sure how it's spelled) talked me through a lot of the options, he was so sweet and the older greek gentlemen there behind the counter we so nice. I got a container of the almond cookies- these were a little more pricey than the other cookies and sooooo worth it (also dairy free!). I also picked up a tray of their frozen cheese pies as a gift for my friend and I have to say I will 100% be returning to buy more. 5$ for a little tray of 8 mini pies ready to go in the oven. they have them with just cheese, and with cheese and spinach. Such a great thing to have in the freezer ready to go. they also sell bigger quantities and you better believe I'll be buying them for my next party. I can't wait to go back- I got cookies, cheese pies, spinach pies, and tried a few other items Nico gave me samples of- EVERYTHING was delicious. GO HERE !!!! great service, great food“
