Chef George provided all the necessary instruction and supplies - including a lively starter - for students to start their own sourdough journey at home. The class included hands-on experience feeding the starter, as well as folding and shaping the dough. I had a great time at the class and can't wait to return to try out the breakfast and lunch menu at The Ancestral Oven Bakery and Cafe.“

You brought me trust issues with every other dessert. Imagine the love child of a Samoa Girl Scout cookie and a cloud. The caramel? Aggressive in the best possible way. The coconut? Perfectly toasted like it knew it had something to prove. The chocolate? Just enough to remind you that life can still surprise you in beautiful ways. And the dough itself? So soft it felt illegal. I took one bite and immediately understood why people line up in the cold for paczki like it’s a survival situation. This wasn’t a donut. This was an experience. A personality trait. “I live on the East Coast with family in the area so I am in a few times a year. This is one place I insist on going every time. The donuts are truly amazing, think the early days of Krispy Kreme, light and fluffy then this place picks it up considerably. This time I had a Pineapple donut, which I did not know was a thing, it was so good it hurt Two pieces of advice for visitors.
1. However many you get be prepared to eat them all.
2. For those giving stupid 1 star reviews because they felt like a donut at noon, can't blame you but still, understanding the perishable food industry would help. They just can't keep making donuts all day since they don't carry over well at all. Get out of the rack and go get these delicious donuts in the early AM as nature intended.
To the owners, great job, perhaps change the posted hours to reflect you close when sold out, which occurs daily. That would help satisfy the 1 PM donut eaters who will just need to get moving.“
