“I got the abuelita tres leches cake. The best tres leches cake I’ve had in the city. Flavor and texture of the slice were phenomenal. Also tried out the horchata latte which was also very delicious. “Yesterday I took the Sourdough Breadmaking Class with Chef George at The Ancestral Oven and I just pulled an amazing loaf of bread out of my home oven 24 hours later! Chef George provided all the necessary instruction and supplies - including a lively starter - for students to start their own sourdough journey at home. The class included hands-on experience feeding the starter, as well as folding and shaping the dough. I had a great time at the class and can't wait to return to try out the breakfast and lunch menu at The Ancestral Oven Bakery and Cafe.“

When I went for the first time I needed a seller because this work like self service, they help me and were so kind. Cookies are expensive but so delicious. The store is too small and it’s confuse because there are two lines, one for order and one for pickup, because of the size of the store it’s kind a mess“

“Crumble. Great tasting cookie, horrible for you. Not a fan of the Tinley Park location. Closed Sundays n then cookies are so thick they cook funny n get hard fast. Not like other locations alot thicker of a cookie. Ends up cooking funny due to the thickness as well. Makes it not as fresh like my normal crumble. Unless they were sitting due to the new everyday flavors. Which its about time crumble. Try the pink icing cookie, love it. Be ready for a sugar rush, possibly too much. I love it but not the best for you.“

“I do think these are the best donuts in Chicago area, or that I've ever had, specifically the glaze and the chocolate. I'm from Texas and have high standards for simple yeast donuts. The Chicago area is really lacking in independent donut shops, so when I found these, I was so happy. I found the original D&Ds location a couple of years ago, but was happy when this location opened as it's closer to me. There is a very professional and kind young man that we've seen work the register at the shop a couple of times, and the owner always offers up samples to newbies, so the service here is great. The food and service are truly 5 stars.
The only downfall of this place is, as other reviews have mentioned, there have been multiple times I've tried to come during business hours, and they are unexpectedly closed for the day. And I'm left heartbroken. To avoid this, I would definitely call before heading there. I won't stop going because I truly believe in their product, but I definitely won't head there unless I've confirmed they're open.“

“Great experience with Creme by Sarah Ashley Bakery! Ashley responded to my order in a timely and efficient manner. I showed her a picture and when I received it, it definitely exceeded my expectations! Everything looked wonderful and tasted even better. What I liked the most, is that the buttercream isn’t too sweet as well. I would highly recommend and will definitely be ordering again for future events. Thank you again!“

“Stopped in to give myself a birthday treat. Everything is so fresh and delicious It was hard to choose. I of curse had to have my lemon fluff cupcake, a pastry and who could say no to an apple slice. But the true treats are the lovely and kind ladies working the counter. I truly feel it’s not just because I patronize Wolf’s bakery - but they are genuinely kind and make you feel welcome. I love this bakery’s products and its staff. Happy Holidays!!“

“I went into this paczki situation thinking, “Okay, cute, festive, probably good.” What I was NOT prepared for… was emotional damage. Because this Samoa-flavored paczki didn’t just meet expectations it absolutely body slammed them. First of all, shoutout to my amazing husband, who casually stopped and brought this home like it was just a normal Thursday and not a life-altering act of love. Sir. You didn’t bring me a paczki. You brought me trust issues with every other dessert. Imagine the love child of a Samoa Girl Scout cookie and a cloud. The caramel? Aggressive in the best possible way. The coconut? Perfectly toasted like it knew it had something to prove. The chocolate? Just enough to remind you that life can still surprise you in beautiful ways. And the dough itself? So soft it felt illegal. I took one bite and immediately understood why people line up in the cold for paczki like it’s a survival situation. This wasn’t a donut. This was an experience. A personality trait. A reminder that I married the right man. 10/10. Would ruin my diet, my dignity, and my emotional stability for another one.“

“We’ve been buying cakes from here since 2022, and all I can say is — they’re amazing! While they’re not the cheapest, they are absolutely worth every penny. We won’t buy our cakes from any other bakery. We live about 40 minutes away, and we’re more than willing to make the drive for their delicious cakes. Their bread and display case desserts are also really good. You have to try them! Plus, the owners are incredibly kind. Hemos estado comprando pasteles aquí desde el 2022, ¡y solo puedo decir que son increíbles! Aunque no son los más baratos, valen completamente la pena.
