“Placed a larger to go order and got busy at work and couldn’t leave right away to pick up food. After 40 minutes I arrived and was expecting cold soggy food . Instead they’re remade the food for me fresh and hot . Wow what an Amazing gesture . Drive thru girls are also always so polite and helpful. Amazing job and thank you“

“Honestly great place. Me and my friends have been going to this place all of our childhood and into our new adult lives and the place has always without fail meet and sometimes exceeded our expectations. I came before they were closing and he took care of me , I absolutely love JJ Fish & Chicken! Every time I go, I order the chicken tenders, and they are always fresh, hot, and perfectly seasoned. You can tell they take pride in the quality of their food. The customer service is excellent—everyone is friendly, welcoming, and quick to help. It’s hard to find a spot that consistently delivers great food and service, but JJ Fish & Chicken nails it every time. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious food and a great experience!“

“Very good hotdogs and fries. The fries are hand cut and fried without a timer. This does cause some fries to be over cooked. Yet, most of the fries are delicious. Not sure when they changed the hot dogs, but they are longer. Still good and have a snap. All the condiments were great.“

They have Special’s each day my favorite is the Gyro Sub shhh…it’s a secret menu item they make any sandwich special order and your food is always prepared fresh on the spot when you order nothing microwaved or sitting under any sort of heater waiting it made fresh to order only! “I miss the location that closed because it was nearby my work but I took my family to this location tonight and the service was the best ive had at a that burger joint. Nathan and team made sure the order was completed correctly, put a to go order to the side and kept it hot and worked very fast to complete our order. It was great!“

“Most of the food here is okay.
We bought the large sized Beef Combo with an Italian sausage in the beef.
The sandwich was longer hence the large size, but the sausage was still the smaller regular size.
I don't feel like I got my money's worth for these two sandwiches.
I wont be getting the larger size here again.“

“Stand-alone restaurant on the corner had a lot of choices on the menu. We tried a few classic Chicago items; Italian beef, Gyros, pizza puffs, hot dogs and Italian ice. Everything was go, hot and fresh. The dine-in area was clean and had lots of tables available. Staff was so helpful!!“

The chicago hotdogs have changed though, they no longer steam a poppy seed bun... tastes like something my mom would make with ingredients from Jewel, or you'd find in a high school cafeteria.

“Highly recommend! You can't visit Chicago without hitting Portillo's. The Italian beef is incredible, get it with sweet and hot peppers!, and the classic Chicago style hot dogs are a must try. On top of the great food, the service is fantastic, very fast and super friendly!!“

“One of the best tasting hot dogs I’ve had. Consistently excellent. Old school fries with just the right amount of salt. Very friendly too. You won’t leave disappointed. Time cute establishment that’s drive thru only but plenty of parking to eat in your car if you choose to do so or eat on one of the 2 picnic benches available on the grass.“
