Our server Heather was also the best waitress we’ve had in a long long time! She was timely, efficient, and very accommodating! I placed a to-go order and it came out quickly and 100% accurate. It was delicious, hot, and well proportioned. The sauce on one of the honey bourbon chicken sandwiches was great.For a Friday night, the dine-in area was dead (and partially dark), but the staff was friendly and welcoming.I would definitely eat here again. I just hope they can stick around long enough for a return visit.“

We did have a cup of the lobster bisque and was not pleased with it at all I could barely taste any Lobster and any Sherry That was supposed to be with it the bisque was too heavy and should have been velvety and creamy and was not our entrees were filet mignon 6 and 8 oz which are very good cooked perfectly. The table service was poor with mistakes being made several times it seemed like he was in a rush which he didn't need to be because we were not in any rush at all but looking forward to an enjoyable afternoon of dinner“

“So far I’ve eaten at Vasco’s twice with my coworker. The food is delicious. It is perfectly spiced, chicken is cooked to perfection and not dry. The garlic sauce is very tasty. It is very clean. The people working there are extremely nice and helpful. My coworker doesn’t know much about Indian food so she had a lot of questions. They were patient and answered all of the. The owner came to our table both times we were there to ask how things were. It is a place that you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. We are already planning our next visit.“

“This was my first time at Kona Grill. The food was great! We ate on the outside patio which was lovely. We also ate from the Happy Hour menu which was a great deal. Wish it included drinks, that started at 4p and we were there from 2:30p - 4p. Had the tuna and crab rolls, Gyoza and edamame. Just yum!!!“

Vegetarian options: Depends on how strict a vegetarian. It is authentic Greek cuisine, so there are many seafood options. Strict vegetarians will be limited to roasted vegetables and hummus dishes, but they will try their best to accommodate.

Dietary restrictions: Gluten free dishes are labeled on the menu, but I don't think this is a totally gluten free kitchen with separate prep and cooking areas.

Parking: Large self parking lot that can overflow into other parking areas.

Kid-friendliness: Lots of families with children dine here. Many options on a children's menu.

Wheelchair accessibility: Large dining area with good access to move around, including the washrooms. Very little floor transitions (bumps or steps) unless one is going to back private dining rooms.“

“OMG WOW! Amazing bakery! I go to tons of bakeries & I think this is the best one in Oak Park & one of the best in Chicagoland! I LOVED everything I tried from the cookies, to muffins to scones. Super high quality & extremely fresh products. Some of the pastries were still warm from the oven as I got there right at 8 am when they open. Even then, there was a little line out the door. Many people got coffee drinks but I didn’t this time. They also have $2 wonky cookies (just weirdly shaped cookies) that are a great deal. I tried: chocolate chip cookie, banana bread, vegan chocolate muffin (extra delish), goat cheese chili scone (excellent) & the wonky birthday cookie (amazing & buttery - melts in your mouth). Can’t wait to go back & try other things! Please note the place is tiny with only a few tables & chairs & there’s metered street parking so I took my order to go.

10.25.24 update: the kale salad done is truly amazing! The toasted coconut cake was sooo good and the chiffon cake was delightful. The savory corn biscuit was good but I preferred the scone, which is totally worth traveling for.“

“I really enjoy this spot for brunch. I’m a steak and eggs guy and they do not disappoint. They also provide a variety of juices for your mimosas, always a plus. Not the biggest place but very comfortable and clean. Make a reservation and stop in they stop serving brunch at 2:30.“

Second I decided to go due to the good food and definitely the customer service, again awesome. Third, I enjoyed my food as always with recommendations from the young lady ( forgot her name). All three times I was either on crutches or knee brace. They were so sweet they helped me with my food to car an even told me to pull up to place and they’ll have my order ready for me! “Hi View will always hold a special place in my heart. My husband has been taking me here for nearly 10 years, and he has been going since long before that. I’ve never had a dish here I don’t like. My favorite things from here are the soups (specifically the cream of chicken rice and French Onion) and the chopped steak breakfast with chocolate chip pancakes. Their pancakes are the BEST ever and I swear by that.
The servers are extremely kind and always interact with regulars. When I was on a liquid diet prior to and after abdominal surgery, they were kind enough to strain soups for me so I could still have something to enjoy. They take care of you like family and that’s why I’ll always support Hi View.
