“The young ladies that work around 9:30PM are always welcoming, kind, and give great customer service.

We went to 3 DD's for ice cream and Oak Lawn DD the worker had their finger up their nose and then served a customer.... NO THANKS!

We drove to Palos Hills in 103rd and Harlem and they told us they weren't serving ice cream.

I don't know why I drove past the Worth DD, but we went there and got the service we were looking for!“

“When heading towards Beverly for a property management home inspection, I wanted to find a local coffee joint that I could get a coffee and a snack of some sort. Afro Joe's was calling to me. Walking in, greeted warmly, the adventure began. If you haven't been, check the menu before you go because you will want to order one of each item! Since it was my first time, most certainly NOT the last, I needed a lifeline. Charmaine to the rescue. I don't know if I manifested or she read my mind , but when I asked which sandwich I should order instantly , she said the short rib! Boom! Done. Next up, a drink choice. Again I was not led astray. The option was a blueberry lavender cold brew topped with rose cold foam. As she was suggesting the option, Charmaine lifted the one she was drinking and again instantly sold. No chocolate croissant available since it was later in the morning but the chocolate morning roll was there and three for three, the order was placed. I already know that I have to come back, time and time again.Just walking in such a chill vibe , perfect music, everyone tables either working or chatting with a friend. The open kitchen invites you to see the hustle and bustle. The garage doors roll up onto the patio for warmer days and what appears to be local art work adorns the walls. When I tell you, this is absolutely no exaggeration, every item was on point! The short rib was so flavor forward eith the bite of picked onions, there was a side of diced pickles and onions too. Also a hit. The warm bun had some fruit nestled in its chocolatey tummy, flakes and moist with the richness of cocoa. And for the latte, cold, sweet and the flavors all complimented each other so well. I did opt for whole milk because, why not?!? I had one too many client emails and texts to be able to enjoy grabbing a book from the shelf but note, they even had the sharpest of colored pencils to doodle or write a note with. I have not one complaint, well, maybe one, I wish they were in my neighborhood because this would be a staple place to visit regularly! Until we meet again and I can get my hands on a chocolate croissant next...or any one of the other of their baked goods. Support your Local Black Owned Businesses!“

“This cafe is amazing! It’s clear they have worked hard to create a cohesive atmosphere and strong image for the cafe. This makes the atmosphere very warm and inviting. I love all the small details such as the cafe name stamped onto the food boxes and cups. The simple branding is straightforward and very pleasing. The menu has a good variety of items while still providing you the confidence that whatever you order will be made with care and taste phenomenal. I ordered the ginger peach tea with honey and it was divine, not to mention the prices are great. I love that the syrups are also homemade! They have a few food options but the one that stands out to me is the bacon, egg, and cheese on the bagel. I will absolutely be back to try more on the menu!“

“Wow this place is gorgeous, I first walked in and thought I was transported to a different place, but I do have some bad things to say other than the good food, me and my friend had there crepes and they were delicious but not worth the 14 dollars for the pizza slice portion they gave us. The complaint I have was that the used all of the budget on the dining room but couldn’t afford to spruce up the restrooms. The floor in the bathrooms was cracking, the toilet was leaking, the door had to be slammed closed because it wasn’t on the hinges properly. The employee outside of the bathroom was also smoking indoors. Food was delish though!“

“First time here and I loved it! I came during that quiet time between lunch and after work. They have locally-made gelato! They have an AWESOME barista! I am really sorry I forgot to ask their name. Whoever was working Tuesday afternoon, you are great, thank you. They make their own syrups, y'all AND THERE IS WINE, by the glass or bottle and they're open til EIGHT! And there's Open Mic tomorrow (Wednesday) night!! Signups at 6:45!“

“To say this place is phenomenal would be an understatement. I had the banana cream latte with almond milk and it was amazing. They don't make it too sweet like the big chain coffee shops, you can still taste the expresso and the flavoring they use, which is how a latte should be in my opinion. They offer sweetness levels if you prefer it more sweet. Great service, friendly employees/owners, and great atmosphere. I will definitely be back on the next cheat day. I love having places like this around.“

“Stopped for some pan dulce and some yummy chocolate croissants, but once I saw the torta de jamon (ham sandwich)being made I knew I had to go back!! Had the pleasure of visiting Grano for a second Sunday in a row. The torta did not disappoint and the cafe the olla, WOW if only I can get one every morning. The service was amazing, so courteous, and prompt with our order without sacrificing the quality or presentation. The cafe is so warm and cozy, don't snooze on Grano plan your visit soon!“

Give the French Toast Latte a try- I don’t love super sugary coffees, this was a great balance (delicious flavor but not too sweet)! And the maple coffee syrup is made in house. The shop was clean, modern, and bright. I noted many electric outlets and people working while enjoying their coffee. There was plenty of seating.

I would highly recommend stopping especially if you're in the area. I was there about 1pm and the traffic was very heavy. Yet, Jazwah was worth it!

“One of the best local breakfast or lunch spots in town! I've been by a few times with friends over the last few months and have tried the avocado toast and a few other items. The staff is super friendly and welcoming, and even offered us complimentary soups while we were waiting for our meals, which arrived quickly and tasted absolutely amazing. For the quality of the food, the prices are insanely cheap. The monster cookie is to DIE for.
