“Definitely my go to spot in Carmel, and Connor behind the bar is my go to guy. That guy has a deep knowledge of beer and always has the perfect suggestion for what to try. With how deep the menu is on their rotating taps, it’s nice to be able to talk with someone who can ask about your tastes and immediately know what to give you. It definitely turns each trip to Sun King an experience, and you don’t get that just anywhere. Couldn’t recommend Sun King or Connor any more.“

“It’s exactly the way I’ve always dreamed of a local place. Traci, the owner, comes by and recommends a drink. She tells you the story of the musician that is playing tonight. Her husband, Brian, is behind the bar and pouring himself another wine. He doesn’t want to chat like Traci does, but he is fussing over the food menu. Making sure it is perfect. Helping the musician make sure the sound is right. People keep bustling in and out from the neighborhood. You recognize them, clasp their hand and act like you remember their name. You will get it next time. The musician is amazing. This time it’s a guy with an epic mustache, a keyboard and he has 1032 songs that he can sing. Last time you came it was a woman with a guitar with an amazing voice. Before that it was a jazz duo with a saxophone. They are playing your requests between original songs. You can’t believe this place is real. It’s like you’ve always imagined. Like you always wanted. The food is good. The bartenders are friendly and know their craft. Your friends show up and Traci asks the people next to you at the bar if they can move over one seat to let them sit next to you. They join in the conversation and you recognize them the next time you come in. It’s simply amazing. Live music every Friday and Saturday and other days for events. Love this place. Can’t recommend it enough.“

“The Kitchen at Pickle on Penn is an absolute gem - every meal I’ve had has been delicious, and the service is always quick and friendly. The upbeat atmosphere and welcoming staff make it a place you’ll want to come back to again. Highly recommend!“

“We go here often to enjoy music and some appetizers. We took a seat at the sofa like we have many times. 15 minutes in, we noticed only the bartender and no other staff. Another 15 minutes and no service. Off we go. We have had many wonderful evenings at Adagio, not tonight.“

“We came in from out of town with family and I have to admit, this place was amazing! Miki did a wonderful job serving us and the food quality was perfect. We brought our 6 yo daughter and they did a wonderful job by keeping her happy throughout to prevent any unhappy child moments. “I go here multiple times a month, and trust me when I say it’s not the closest to my house. It’s a tiny hole in the wall, but it reminds me of bars back home on the gulf coast. It’s tiny and comfortable, and other than the regular crowd who sit at the bar all of the time everyone else is always different every night.“

“Los Arroyos is a favorite local spot, and for good reason. The Mexican food is top tier, and the service is almost always wonderful. On a recent Friday night, there were a few unusual gaps in service and longer wait times—something that may simply come with a busy evening. Even with that minor hiccup, I still highly recommend Los Arroyos if you're willing to pay a bit more than the average mall-plaza Mexican spot. The quality consistently delivers, and their chipotle salsa is hands-down my favorite in Indianapolis.“

Great experience at Bar Louie Carmel. The vibe was relaxed, drinks were on point, and service was excellent. Shoutout to Amerelle behind the bar — she was friendly, attentive, and clearly knows what she’s doing. Drinks were made well, conversation was easy, and she made us feel welcome without hovering.
Definitely one of the better Bar Louie experiences I’ve had. Will be back.“
