“My favorite Mexican restaurant in Anderson.
Food: The food is authentic. This is not a like one of the Hacienda restaurants or an Americanized Mexican restaurant, you're not going to find your food smothered in nacho cheese. If you're looking for a taste of Mex.ico, then this is it 👍🏾🇲🇽 I've been here many times. The ceviche is great, my favorite from there is the Al Pastor street tacos! They have an amazing caldo de Camarón (shrimp 🦐 soup) and Caldo de pollo (chicken 🐔 soup). I need another many things there that I can't remember, but it's also delicioso 😋. The prices are not bad for how good the food is and the serving sizes are grande. Oh, don't forget to get a delicious Horchata (not from a container) or Jamaica juice.
Service: I think this restaurant can seat about 40 people. I have been there when they were only about 15 to 20, and only had to wait about 3 minutes to be seen by the server girl, another 2 minutes for my drink and to order and then maybe a total of 15 to have my food at the table. I've only seen 3 people working at once: The owner (he cooks) is very nice and seems to understand English, another person that cooks and the server girl. They are all nice. I've never been on Wednesday or Thursday, but ever time I've been there it has been the same server. She understands my English very well, speaks a little English as well, but I choose to speak Spanish with her for practice. She's very nice and it looks like she does multiple jobs (serving, I've seen her cooking and I think she also washes dishes and other things), I encourage anyone to tip her well (in cash); I've never left less than $10 because she gets super busy and still does an amazing job!
Atmosphere:
The music is very nice, but is sometimes too loud. If you ask to select music they hand you the remote, I keep the music in Spanish. The will turn down the volume is asked. Very polite. It's very clean inside. The decor is very Mexican. I love this place. They also have take out and you can call to pick up.“

“The food was delicious, I have eaten at lots of restaurants throughout Mexico and this is the closest it comes in Indiana to authentic Mexican. Will be back soon.“

“A long time ago, I used to live in Alexandria, and this place was one of the few places in town that was really worth something, that was actually unique. I finally went back with a party of 8 and we were seated almost immediately, with the staff cleaning down the table and helping move chairs over. We got drinks and chips, and their salsa was extremely delicious. It’s spicy enough to be mouth-tingling with the perfect texture. We also got the cheese sauce, which was also good, and our food arrived not long after. I got the Yolandas, which were chicken enchiladas with chiles and tomatoes, with cheese sauce on top and served with rice. They also give you hot sauce with your table, so I drizzled some on the enchiladas. The chicken was so good! The portions were pretty big too! Overall, the meal was amazing, and it truly does live up to being authentic. The atmosphere is even better! I’d say it’s the best part of this restaurant. The tables, walls, lights and booths are decorated well. The service was alright. We did have to ask for more chips, but we didn’t have to ask for refills of drinks. Overall, 5 stars. This place is the exact same as when I left, which is a good thing in a constantly changing world.“

“Absolutely top-tier tacos. The meat was perfectly seasoned, juicy, and cooked just right with that slight char that makes all the difference. Fresh cilantro and onions, warm tortillas, and generous portions across the board. The salsas were flavorful with a great kick, and everything tasted fresh and authentic. You can tell real care goes into the food here. Easily some of the best tacos I’ve had—this place is a must-visit and definitely worth coming back for.“

“Shaun, Josue, Crystal, Ray, Kadeesh, Juliyah, and Noah handled themselves with grace and professionalism for a busy four hours that we were in the restaurant. They were constantly in motion and making sure all guests were being helped to the best of their ability. They were constantly working to make sure the restaurant was clean, food was fresh, and guests were happy!“

“Okay so I was going to rate five star but today I'm disappointed of the chalupa that I've gotten, Now usually when I get my tacos they're good, but today was not it, so whoever the cook was today stop serving Hard pita bread for the Chalupa Supreme! I paid good money for this to be good & enjoyable, NOT nasty and crunchy stale pita bread. So Make our food right or just stay off the kitchen grill . But anyways I still enjoy Taco Bell❤️“

“Best Mexican. Some of the key points that make them great are in the details. For instance, a lot of Mexican restaurants will go heavy on the onion in pico. There is a good ratio of tomato and onion, beautifully chopped. What the says is, they are willing to make the investment in taste, rather than saying, they have it and providing it at a cheaper cost to them (lots of restaurants go heavy on the onion, a much cheaper ingredient). Additionally, the margaritas are 100% consistent. There is no Mexican restaurant in Muncie that has margaritas that come out the same color every time. Generally, there are various shades of green, which means, that the person making the drink determines whether or not they’re going to skimp on tequila. If you’re a vegetarian, this is the place to go. Juan even put a vegetarian chimichanga on the menu for me! The Gaston location is fabulous. We loved having Beth as our server. 10 out of 10!“
