“We stopped at this location on our way home to Lexington KY from Kansas. This was the first time we have eaten at this location but we stop at Bearno's almost every time we visit Louisville. We always order the Super Mama Bearno's special and take it home and eat it for a few days. The pizza at this location was THE BEST one we have ever had! We will be back to this location even if it is a little further out of the way. Alexa B was our server and she was delightful!“

“I have dined in and also ordered carry out many times. This place is one of my favorite go to’s for excellent food, baked breads and desserts! Love the Strombolis, meatball sandwich, your bread pudding and cannolis are the best! The Orange Lavender bread is one of my favorites also. My friends and I tried out Legacy Pizza when they first opened and loved it. Very friendly staff and always a great dining experience. Just happy I can swing by and pick up curbside service while out shopping and in the area. The owner is always so nice! Highly recommend!“

“Just had a wonderful experience, the staff was awesome at explaining everything to us as newbies. Took my husband axe throwing for Father’s Day and we had a blast! The atmosphere was lowkey and unassuming, and the other players were awesome at rooting everyone on despite us all being strangers. When I got my order the dasher took a BITE of my boyfriend’s personal pan pizza, took my daughter’s pepperoni pizza, and my extra garlic bread. Here is the kicker I TIPPED 15% when I checked out, SO I’M INSTANTLY IRRITATED!! I called Derby City ofc they didn’t answer because it’s a busy Friday night. When I got there and told them what happened and showed them the food I received, the manager immediately called Door Dash and got the driver banned from delivering at any of their stores. “We had an event at Upland, in their large banquet room, last week, and it was not a simple set up or take down for us. Anna and the team at Upland allowed us enough access, beforehand, to transform the room into something spectacular. The appetizers and meals were top notch, served buffet style, with beef, chicken, salads, vegetables, potatoes, vegetarian skewers and more. The staff worked hard to accommodate us and the guests were all happy with the food and how we had set everything up. The were a few hiccups, like the bar having limited choices for guests. It was that there were not choices, but better known brands were unavailable, though their own brands were (and some were pretty good). Also, the staff was so stealthy, that we didn’t realize dinner had been served. We also weren’t sure how to turn some lights on when it got darker outside. Those negatives did not have an affect on the overall party and how it was received, though. I give the an 9 out of 10, knowing that those things wouldn’t happen again.“

We weren't greeted by anyone and had no clue where to sit or how to order drinks or food. We finally asked one of the staff members and got it all figured out. “Roosters is basically a little bit better version of buffalo wild wings. The sauces are almost identical, except I think BDubs's sauces are a little on the hotter side, but taste-wise you can't go wrong, regardless. The real difference is the wings. Roosters wings were significantly larger. Number of wings is less (5 vs 6 or 10 vs 12 compared to BDubs), but even still, Rooster's serving size was larger. Service was excellent and VERY fast. Can't remember the servers name, but she was great, even when my kids spilled a drink all over the bench. Atmosphere was nice and light. Saturday at 6pm and there was no wait. Restaurant wasn't full but it wasn't empty either and the nose level wasn't crazy. Zero complaints.“

“April 13th, 2026 Another Update: The new manager, I believe he's the new GM there, Charles, is great. He goes out of his way to take care of customers properly. I haven't had anything since he's been there except the stuffed crust pizzas but he's been doing a great job on those for sure! Updated the star rating accordingly.

Update: credit to management for at least replying to the original review, shown below. Now for an update: I didn't wait a couple of months. They started advertising a new pan pizza. Sounded good, looked good, Detroit style, I'm in. So I ordered a couple. I'm uploading one picture. The sauce was applied to both pizzas the exact same way. It's not that hard. A real small line near the edge of the tray? Seriously? Then a couple of days later - because I had a birthday reward for a free cinnamon wheel -I go ahead and order a papa's picks four cheese pizza on original dough. You would have thought I ordered a thin crust pizza, and very poorly prepared at that. This is a perfect example of the dough management and product preparation I complained about in the original, recent review. Hopefully somebody there will see this and train the employees to ensure quality products being prepared at this location. Feel free to contact me, you kind of owe me a pizza based on recent experiences I would say, to be fair. At any rate, pictures to follow.

Until this location improves their dough management, I won't be back. I guess it'll be a hit and miss thing but I'm going to give it a couple of months I guess. The last couple of times the dough either on the pizza or the cheesy bread or both has been very much substandard. Like it was old or something.

It's a shame. Used to be such a great product. Staff has been fine in terms of friendliness. It's product quality that's been the problem.

To top it off, management doesn't even seem to pay attention to these reviews. I can't imagine ignoring feedback from customers in managing a business.“

“This place deserves more good reviews!This was a favorite family hangout spot a while ago and I’m always very excited to visit again. The waits can be long at times since they share a kitchen with the neighboring restaurant, but as long as you have good company, you’ll never notice!“

“I love both Pizza King locations, but I do prefer the Jeffersonville location. It's smaller, usually less crowded since it doesn't have a train side, and the staff is very friendly. I love their pizza, it's my favorite place to eat! The only downside is the fact they are closed on Mondays.“
