This place isn’t just a restaurant to me — it’s a tradition, a memory, and a piece of my life that goes back more than 40 years. I have been coming here since I was a child. Some of my earliest food memories are sitting inside this historic little hot dog stand enjoying their famous coney dogs. There is just something special about this place that has never changed. The atmosphere, the smell of the grill, and the excitement of getting those delicious coneys brings back so many memories every single time I walk through the door. And let’s talk about the food — the coney dogs are absolutely incredible. They are simple, classic, and packed with flavor. The chili, the mustard, the onions, and the perfectly cooked hot dog all come together to make the BEST coneys you will ever eat. After all these years, the taste is still exactly how I remember it. Some places change over time, but this one has kept its magic. What makes it even more special now is that I get to bring my own family here. I now bring my husband and my children, and watching them enjoy the same food I grew up loving is such a great feeling. It’s like passing down a family tradition. Every time we visit, it feels like a little trip back in time while also making new memories together. The place itself is full of history and charm. It’s not fancy, and that’s exactly why people love it. It’s a true Fort Wayne landmark and one of those iconic spots that locals and visitors should experience at least once. The staff keeps the line moving, the food comes out fast, and you can tell they’ve perfected their system after all these years. After more than four decades of coming here, I can honestly say this is still my absolute favorite hot dog spot anywhere. The BEST coney dogs, amazing history, and a place filled with memories make this a must-visit destination in Fort Wayne. If you’ve never been to the famous Coney Island in Fort Wayne, you are truly missing out. These are without a doubt the BEST CONEYS you will ever eat.“

“They have great Coney Dogs and Cheese fries and any type of Coney Dogs you would want. We take special trips just for that place and there ice machine has them small little ice cubes.
It rivals with Coney island.
Coney Express is very unique and they don't build them like that no more, I strongly suggest to go.“

Bacon, Gruyere cheese, Jalepenos.....perfectly cooked and filling. The Patatas Bravos were equally sensational. On a scale 1-10, it's an 11. Met and spoke with the owner Bo and informed him I'm a regular from this point on.“

“Skyline Chili in Fort Wayne has been special to me from the beginning.

I remember when this location first opened and thinking, “Skyline Chili in Fort Wayne? That’s bold.” I paid attention right away because it felt like someone was bringing something different to the area and taking a real chance on a vision.

Today, 6/7, I got to come back, enjoy the food again, and meet Jeff Grothouse, the owner. That made the whole visit even better. He came across as genuine, welcoming, and full of the kind of leadership you notice immediately. You can tell this place wasn’t just opened — it was built with belief, effort, and pride.

The food was great, the team was friendly, and the location is easy to access right near I-69. But what stood out most to me was the heart behind it. This is one of those places I’m genuinely glad Fort Wayne has.

Skyline Chili is a true favorite for me, and meeting Jeff only confirmed why. Great food, great people, and a business worth celebrating.“

He placed my order which I used three separate coupons for and he told me my total was $23.07 when I got to the window to pay the total dropped down to $10.88! He told me he loves telling people the difference in their price after coupons so they can be amazed; and that is exactly what I was!
