“Food was ok. I was quite upset when they didn't honor the 3% discount for all checks paid with cash (as stated on the menu) and for card purchases it would be a 3.99% added to the bill. When I questioned the waitress, she said no. I said it's on the menu. I asked for the menu back to prove to her it was there. She went and got the manager and he said when they ring up the bill, it is usually with the card purchases at 3.99 and if you pay cash, that 3.99 comes off, but where does the 3% discount come in?? Still confused on this one. We wound up having to pay the full amount with no discount. They need to remove that from the menu as it is false advertisement!! The manager even said people question them when they say it's on your website and they don't honor that either.“

“Philly Steaks and Tacos all in one stop, all in one spot. How do the cooks do it! You have a full Mexican restaurant menu plus an American style menu with additional Greek American food options! The chicken teriyaki Philly was fire🔥. They pile on the fries. The Mexican food is flavorful as well. Open late too.“

“We found this place on our way to Raleigh, NC from Chicago. Stopped here after reading reviews online. TRUST THE REVIEWS that say this place is good...IT IS GOOD! We just moved to the Chicago area from South Texas, so we know good Mexican food and this place does not disappoint! If you are anywhere near Gary Indiana, you have to stop in to Chela's. It's not fancy at all, but is very clean and the prices are good. We had the Birria Tacos, chips and salsa and several different meat tacos. Then, on our way back from North Carolina, we stopped in again! My fiance thinks this is the best Mexican food outside of Texas. THAT'S saying something! We can't wait to go back!“

“Other than having fantastic food, I had an excellent NA ( Non Alcoholic) Mojito. The NA menu is extensive ! It was so beautiful and well prepared, dry ice and all !! 😊 It made it feel special so you don’t feel like you’re missing out on the festivities of having a cocktail, without having the alcohol. “I've been a fan for a long time. The renovations made the place more spacious. The service was fantastic. The food was good and fresh! The only thing is that the torta meat needed more seasoning. Other than that it was a wonderful meal. Would highly recommend.“

“Came in to place a togo order. I told the lady at the front that it was my first time there and I'll be a minute to decide. She showed me 2 signs where they had specials and told me to take my time. I ordered the 3 Karla tacos special, the small rice & beans mix, and the cup elote. The rice was a bit on the dry side but the beans had great flavor. Elote was very flavorful with a nice and subtle spice. Tacos were pretty good. I'll definitely have to come back to dine in and try some more menu items out!“

“Love love love the chicken tacos! So very good! Highly recommend! I have driven past this spot for months and finally tried it and wish I’d have stopped here sooner!! I am in love with the chicken tacos and the rice! It’s truly is the best!“
