“First time tonight ordering food from this place and it was delicious!! We usually go to Hong Kong which was closed today, thankfully. When we moved to Hobart, we were told that Hong Kong had the best Chinese food but nope, that is not true. Rice garden is delicious.!! There were four of us so not just my opinion, everybody loved their meals. We ordered crab Rangoon, pork eggrolls, beef and broccoli, beef and snow peas, shrimp and scallops, chicken lo mein, and everybody loved their food. We will definitely go back again!!“

“How about you take a seat and let me tell you a little bit about this place. A few weeks back the lady and I wanted some noodles and Crab Rangoon’s. So, headed over to CG to acquire the best in town. Upon arrival, we were greeted in the politest fashion. I had a beer or two in me when ordering, so I was a lot to deal with. They worked with us to configure the best take out order ever assembled. That’s not all. During this adventure, I left my phone sitting on a chair I was waiting in. I realized it once I got home, so I headed back to the store to pick it up before close. But to my dismay, I was far too late. They were closed! This was a Sunday evening, and they had already put their heart and souls into making great meals for us patrons all week, so I didn’t blame them for closing up shop for the week after their encounter with me. My phone was sitting there, locked safely inside the store. But because I live and work on that phone, I had to go into recovery mode. I did some digging and found a phone number to call and see if anyone who had a key to the store could meet me on a Monday, WHEN THEY ARE CLOSED FOR THE DAY MIND YOU! And sure enough they did. They met me at the store, handed me my phone and REFUSED the $20 I was offering for the help (should’ve offered more, I realize that now). Long story short, this place rules, the people are great, and we will be going back tonight. 10 out of 10!“

“Been coming here for around 5 years and Jade Garden is easily my favorite Chinese place in Portage. You get a lot of food for the price, the food always tastes good, and it’s quick! The lady at the counter is always very quick and friendly also!

“Forget Panda Express, and even a few local Chinese places, we will be coming here instead. It was super fresh and the ladies were super sweet, and gave me a few samples to see what I liked. The honey lemon chicken is amazing. Didn't expect it for mall food. Prices were that of Panda but they loaded the box, we got the number three combo and I shared it with my toddler and I still have leftovers.“

“This restaurant is the best Chinese restaurant in the area. I used to go there before I went to college, and am happy that it's still here today. They only open for carry out now. It may appear that they are closed from the outside due to no other cars in the parking lot. It works for me because I prefer carry out anyways. Everything is so expensive nowadays. “We’ve never had issues here and that continued yesterday too. We walked in and were greeted by Kiara I believe was her name. She was by far the most friendliest person we’ve encountered in a very long time. She was really very nice and sweet. It was really nice to see someone young be able to start, carry and hold a conversation with someone. And it wasn’t just us. We watched her do this with 2 other customers. She was incredible.“
