“A hidden gem for hearty, German food and plenty of beer ?We ordered the pork schnitzel and the bayrischer schweinebraten as our entrees with the spatzel, potato pancakes, green beans and fries as our sides.Pork schnitzel was crispy and easy to eat with a fork and knife. The bayrischer schweinebraten was juicy and featured a rich gravy. My favorite air was the potato pancakes! Think of a thick, hashbrown with savory onions in it. Then they had a fresh, minced apple sauce for it if you wanted it sweet. Super refreshing. The fries also were thick as a finger and seasoned. They came out piping hot!Meals also came with a cup of the house soup ---delicious! It was mildly sweet with pickled sauerkraut and small bits of sausage.ATMOSPHEREInterior like a pub with cozy with wood walls and decorative steins on the walls.SERVICEWe were seated right away on a Tuesday night for dinner, and service was fast and friendly.Parking: Drive through the park, long driveway to the very back. There is parking specifically for the restaurant there.Kid-friendliness: This is more of a pub atmosphere.“
“It's pricey, but you are supporting the venue... staff was awesome and very long line moved quickly! I definitely recommend, my kiddos were happy to eat from the selection. Crowd was friendly and willing to table share - will most certainly return. It was our first Harvest Nights experience ?!Vegetarian options: Pretzel and popcorn is what we got, as I remember.... so veggie options are certainly a thing ?, popcorn was our gluten free option. My kiddos were happy to eat here- which is not always a thing! ThNk you Newfields for a positive dining experience- Go, Harvest Nights!Dietary restrictions: There are vegetarian and gluten free optionsKid-friendliness: My kids loved it!“
“Ordered fried pickles, probably the best we have ever had! Great fries too! Paid extra $1 to try different sauces. The sandwich was good but I did not care for the bread choices. I wish I could have had my chicken in a lettuce wrap. Great that they have a parking lot across the street.“
“Great place downtown if you want to spend time enjoying drinking in the patio and share conversation with a small to large group of friends, best part is the beer flight if you are unsure which one to have. Good selection across the colors from blond to dark and ale to hoppy. Try all as the night or evening progresses. Pretty sure you would end up with a dark beer ?“
“Really nice brewery in Speedway, just down the road from the Indianapolis Speedway. Good selection of a variety of beers, the hazy was great and the German style beers were spot on. Had the pizza and it was delicious. The personal is perfect size for one hungry person. Lots of free parking out front and a garage nearby. They also have a patio for nice days.“
“Traveled to Indianapolis with my wife for our anniversary and stopped by for a beer and dinner. I have to sadly walk away knowing I can't come back without traveling almost 8 hours, but I'd damn well almost do it. The food is phenomenal, with each dish offering something unique to enjoy, whether it's a deliciously sweet brown gravey or a savory mushroom sauce on schnitzel. Please do yourself a favor and try this place!!!Dietary restrictions: Ask for an allergen menu, and they have a separate sheet to explain each menu item. It'll be labeled for lactose and gluten restrictions!“
“Went to the Chicken & Beer Festival at Monon 30 and it was the first time in the space. Everything is brightly decorated with lots of outdoor seating and is a nice space for a smaller, ticketed event. The parking is kind of iffy - there's a gravel lot next to it and it could use a little upkeep. I was slightly scared there would be a nail or something that would put a hole in my tire, but everything turned out fine. I didn't know this space was here and am curious what else they might have here so I'd definitely come back to another event.“
