Always love stopping at Steak n Shake for a steak burger! We no longer have any in our part of Texas, so this is a rare treat. And I love their fries too...they don't even need ketchup!

If you're a computer geek I suppose it's ok but I prefer to speak with a person to place an order. The computer screens were quite annoying. But worse, the cooks screwed it up. They put stuff on our burgers that I definitely did not order. Will not go back.

Steak 'n Shake is a restaurant known for having the order usually correct, though sometimes the preparation takes longer than expected. The drive-through service is excellent, with friendly staff providing good service despite the self-serve atmosphere. While the streamlined process is appreciated, some customers find it odd. The food is hot and tasty, with the Chili being amazing and the garlic Burger noted as the best thing on the menu. However, there may be a delay in getting shakes without prior notice. The inability to dine indoors is understandable due to the surrounding low-income area, and although the place shows some signs of being run down, there is close parking for handicap and wheelchair accessibility. Overall, despite some minor issues, the experience is generally positive, with friendly faces and a clean environment that makes it worth returning for.
