“Staying in Shipshewana for a few days and this was our first time visiting 814 and I have to say it was absolutely amazing from the food, drinks and service. It was absolutely amazing! We will definitely be back when in the area!“

“Great food! Lunch was delicious for me, steak, peppers & onions on a wrap! My husband had breakfast which they serve all day! His omelet was fantastic! Next time we will get a steak dinner!! The server was very intelligent, great with his customers! We give them an A rating!! Hint to the owner is: Decor needs work. Maybe some nice pictures up on the walls. Windows in front need some TLC like some pretty lace see thru curtains so the light will still come thru! We will come back plus invite others!! Thank you!“

“Stopped for breakfast this morning with our kids/grandkids. Stood by the door for 10 minutes waiting for 1 of the 4 waitresses to seat us. Several empty tables but not once did anyone try to communicate or even say "hello"? Finally asked one of them if we should seat ourselves and she acted rude and didn't really answer what we were suppose to do? We left.... Thank God Kendallville and Lagrange are close by with restaurants that know how to treat customers.“

“I quit going for many years due to a chef who treated me horrible and didn't know how to cook a steak. Tonight we went back since there are new owners. They have redeem ed themselves. Food and service was excellent. This was more like how the food tasted at one time. Great job. We will now be going back.“

“We came in super late from outta town after driving all day and honestly we were impressed. The Applebee's back in our state are always pretty gross so when this was one of the only places still open, we were not exactly looking forward to it, but hey we were surprised!

We ordered the loaded potato waves which were really good, the mushroom burger (can't remember the exact name) and the spicy honey mustard chicken sandwich. Overall it was pretty tasty. A little pricey tho, I think we spent 60$ including tip (the server was super chill she definitely deserved a good tip).“
