“highly recommend got a large perch dinner. tonight. with their hot sauce. everything was on point. sauce was definitely hot in my opinion but not over hot n good flavor. perch was good too. no other spots around here that actually have shrimp n fish like this with hot sauce n not just tartar sauce. ill definitely be back for some shrimp next.“

“Our favorite restaurant to go to. Shout out to our two favorite waitresses Linda(when she was there) and Val! They have always been amazing! They remember our order by heart and always give us the absolute best service. Everyone here is so friendly and inviting! Love the vibe it’s never off! It’s like a family there! “Just finished an early dinner as my first experience with Cajun Crab House. It was outstanding! I had 6 raw oysters along with the Deep Fried Catfish and my son had a Crab Cake appetizer and Shrimp linguine. Some of the best seafood I’ve had in a while. Even better than the food was the service. I have problems with spicy food due to chemo and Ciara, our server, went out of her way to check the spice level of the food I had ordered. Several trips to and from the kitchen and I picked the Catfish…..perfect choice. I have no problem with anything. Was one of the better experiences I’ve had“

“I’ve been a couple times and their fried fish and okra are always fresh and tasty! The atmosphere is inviting and I feel a good presence when I walk in. Today as a surprise to me they were giving out free Quran and I snatched one… Im big on the energy where I consume my food. I can say that I feel Allah in the building and I highly recommend this place.“

“First time here. Ordered 1/2 lb. perch, clam strips and shrimp. Very fresh and good tasting. Perch breading has a welcome slight 'kick' to it, but does not overwhelm the perch flavor. Probably the best perch around, and at a reasonable price. The shrimp and clam strips were also very good. Will be back. Five Stars.“

“We randomly stopped here on our way home for a quick bite to eat and to avoid Chicago rush hour. We ordered the Italian beef. Let me just say IT DOES NOT DISAPPOINT! It was super yummy! I spoke with a cook and they cook it overnight. Our server Mandy was friendly and took good care of us. Food was great and cheap compared to many other places. The atmosphere was laid back. I definitely would come back again just to eat. Seriously, if you want good food or a good sandwich. Stop and get their Italian beef!“

“Our Mother's Day brunch reservations were accommodated, although service was somewhat delayed due to high volume. The food quality was exceptional, with the exception of the biscuits and gravy, which were not the best we have experienced. However, all other dishes were phenomenal. The owner's thoughtful gesture of providing complimentary chocolate-dipped strawberries and cookies for my daughter was greatly appreciated. I highly recommend this establishment for brunch.“

“I want to give a special thank-you to Ruby, the manager at El Capitan Mexican Restaurant, for her exceptional help in making my friend’s day so memorable. She went out of her way to accommodate us with special seating arrangements — and made sure everything was perfect for us!! Her kindness and flexibility truly stood out!
The service overall wasn’t the best that day, as they were unusually short-staffed, which made things move a little slower. Still, the food was good as usual, and Ruby’s genuine care and extra effort really made the overall experience positive as we all had a great time! Just wish mariachis sang longer!! Always nice hearing them !!
We are regulars here and I highly recommend El Capitan and look forward to coming back!“

“My first time there and it definitely won’t be the last! The food and service were impeccable! Quite the variety of food on the menu. Ordered the trio with an extra crab cluster and it was fantastic! The waitress was very attentive throughout the meal. If you haven’t tried this place out yet, you’re missing out!“
