“Mill Tavern in Westfield has all the feel of a neighborhood pub and size enough to accommodate large groups. The menu covers the gamut of usual pub food from wings and nachos, through sandwiches and wraps, burgers and fish & chips, and even salads and soups.

While they have lots of variations on staples, such as jelly on a burger, the question I had was can they do the basics right. In a word, yes.

I ordered “The Boss”, which is basically a chicken sandwich or burger with a choice of two toppings from an extensive list. I chose a burger with grilled onions and grilled green peppers. I received a bar burger par excellence, a perfectly browned outside with a softer meaty inside. I upgraded from chips to the Tavern Fries (seasoned steak fries) which again were perfection, crispy on the outside and creamy smooth on the inside.

Recommendations from my friends (which I didn’t taste), included the wings, the cole slaw, the beef & vegetable soup (soup of the day), and the California Chicken Club.

Service was great and they happily modified the orders with special requests. Its main drawback is that is so popular – kidding – it’s the acoustics. It can get quite loud. So, if you don’t mind boisterous and love good food, put Mill Tavern on your list.“

“I stopped by Culver’s one afternoon when I was craving a burger. I ordered a ButterBurger with fries, and it came out hot and juicy. The place had that friendly, family-style fast food vibe. I finished it with a scoop of their frozen custard, and honestly that might’ve been the best part of the whole stop.“

“My first time trying out Culver’s. Ordered a cod fillet and two veggie burgers. They were both of a good size and the veggie burgers were especially delicious.

Drive-thru was convenient and the wait was around 4-5 min where the staff themselves brought the food out to the car.“

“Ashton was great from the start with the best on the spot recommendations. Started with a spicy Bloody Mary that was prettty tasty! It was pushing the spice limit for me… but the flavor was amazing! The hot garlic wings tho.. life changing… no additional sauce needed.. holy hell the flavor needs to be on a whole chicken Sammy! Brisket chili cheese burger was fire and had a cheesy crunch at every bite followed by a sweet coney sauce. So good. Oh ya they got good drinks too!“

“I ordered the pulled pork dinner. $14.99 Pretty disappointed in the meat, the worst of this selection I've ever had. Lots of fat, it's usually served in bite sized pieces, easy to eat. This was not cut up at all, several large tuff pieces. I will take Carmel TRH off my list.“

“We had the quesabirria tacos and they were amazing! The consome was the best I have ever had. So much flavor and was very robust I guess you could say. Great beer - clean lines and clean overall. The owners are so sweet and the service is great! Park behind the restaurant. There is a lot of construction in the area which makes it challenging for them to get customers so please don’t let that deter you. It’s definitely worth it!“

“there is always some issue trying to get my order if I do pickup. doesn't make a difference if I choose curbisde or carry out lol. it ends up taking 3x longer every single time. but they're always eager to help figure it out and very friendly. and the ice cream never disappoints.“

“Great food for a fair price“

“Amazing all the way around!!!! My family was on vacation from Ohio and wanted to celebrate a birthday. Frances was amazing at helping me coordinate the party for 18 the day of within an hour! She got us a semi-private room with buffet style food which was super delicious. Taylor was our server and made sure everyone was taken care of and enjoying themselves. She was very attentive and extremely friendly. Everyone went above and beyond to make sure the night was perfect, and this is very rare these days. We played putt putt afterward and had a blast! Customer service is top notch! Thank you to everyone at Birdie's for making a last minute event such a wonderful experience that we will always remember!“

“We have become hooked on Slim Chickens! We saw they made their sauces in-house and breaded their own tenders so it couldn't be that bad.

Boy were we wrong, it wasn't that bad - it was unbelievably delicious!

They know how to properly package your order (keeping cold items separate from hot), are friendly and the orders are always accurate.

The chicken is marinated in buttermilk and lightly breaded so it doesn't have a typical heavy fried chicken feeling. They go really well with the house-made sauces which they make several of. We have tried virtually all of them and haven't had one we didn't like. (Buffalo & Spicy BBQ are our favorites, Hot is our least favorite but still enjoyable)

We have had a lot of things from here and haven't had a single bad thing. My wife thought the regular tenders complemented the sauces better versus the spicy. The spicy do have a nice kick to them. The tenders are so good you don't even need a sauce.

The wings are solid also but we prefer the tenders. Mac & Cheese was delicious along with the fries which tasted freshly cut.

They have desserts in a mason jar which are delectable. The seasonal flavors are Key Lime Pie & Strawberry Cheesecake. Both were stellar but we are fans of KLP so that is our preferred one.

The fried pickles lasted the 15+ minute trip home and were still plenty crunchy. I would have liked to see a smaller portion of them for a lower price.
