“I had a salad with steak. The steak was very tender and cooked perfectly! The lettuce, however, was in four inch chuncks. The veggies all had to be cut down to bite sized pieces. I asked them to add a boiled egg and make a dressing out of sour cream, lemmon, and herbs. They served my salad and said they didn't have any eggs boiled, which they could have done by the time our whole party was served. They brought me a dish of sour cream with one quarter slice of a lemon. I then asked for a bowl of lemons and squeezed them all and added mustard, salt, and pepper that was on my table to make my own dressing. I feel like I paid for a meal I had to do half the work for to eat. The servers were all very sweet.“

“Pickles Cafe is a place you feel welcome, from its decor to it’s unique food choices. It’s a little cafe with a friendly staff. The desserts and food are delicious. It’s not your basic cafe, it’s quirky but in a good way, serving foods in tea cups, and mis matched dinnerware and the unique food adds that bit of quirkiness that makes it a fun experience. The food is homemade, blueberry meatloaf yes it’s a thing at Pickles Cafe, and it’s yummy! I love that they are in our town and offer such a variety of options now even serving wine and beer! Keep up the great work Pickles Cafe your a breath of fresh air!“

“I absolutely LOVED their omelet. I tried the bacon and cheese one and it was great! Only part was, there was a lot of bacon in it. I still give it a 5 out of 5 because of how delicious it was! I plan to visit there another time after Church or something! I loved the server we had! she was great, came back to the table all the time to ask if we needed anything and how it was going! I really recommend for you to try out Big G’s if you live around or near Columbia City! We had it over a month ago and you should try it in the next few days!Parking: Had just enough parking spots even though they were busy!“

“I'm a regular there and I don't know when people who left negative reviews ate there but Mr. Dave's is a treasure in North Manchester. They are known for their tenderloins but they grind their own hamburger and can make "real" bacon extra crispy. You know how you get that tiny bacon on fast food burgers and it's like pulling an earthworm out when you bite it? At Mr. Dave's Sharon or Lucinda will cook you up a rightous real hamberburger with some real damn bacon on it. ? And the broasted chicken in addicting. I actually saw Mr. Dave himself eating there and ask about the broasted chicken versus KFC chicken. In both cases, it's about the pressure cooking or "broasting" process. You will have to wait 15 minutes but you will get hot, fresh chicken like grandma just cooked it and gave you a hug. They have two different families and other great staff that run the place now. And they make homemade potato and chicken salad to die for. I'm trying to convince them to make biscuits and cornbread but they won't listen. ? Mr. Dave's is worth the visit.“

“We were in town for a quick visit and wanted to treat my Dad and step Mom to a nice dinner. There were 5 in our party and 4 of us ordered a steak dinner. It was seasoned well and cooked to specification. Side salad, coleslaw and waffle fries were all enjoyed. Spaghetti dinner was also ordered. She said it was good. It came with a piece of garlic bread. I was surprised that no side salad came with it though.“

“For starters, came here for a morning date.I got the Bacon Apple Grilled Cheese, I know that sounds off the wall but it was so GOOD.(Mozzarella, bacon, grilled apple slices on too of apple butter)They had recently changed the menu, so their french toast wasn’t on the menu anymore like the online menu mentioned. However, the manager overheard that conversation and said she could make it. Their willingness to accommodate was appreciated :)Also bought some chocolate covered goodies from their fudge bar.Buckeyes, sea salt caramel chocolates, chocolate covered nutter butters,Chocolate covered oreos,Chocolate turtles,And the Amaretto chocolates were good.I’m looking forward to coming again.“

“I had the cowboy burger and oh. My. Gosh. It was super juicy, cooked to perfection, and the fries were crispy and fresh. The staff was super friendly! The owner came to the tables to ask each patron how their experience was to give that personal touch. Make the trip and have a great experience combined with great food and support small business!“

“The Inn is one of the few places in North Manchester that hasn't changed a whole lot. The food is delicious no matter if you are in the mood for a good burger or steak and ribs, it is all cooked to order and absolutely delicious. The drinks are pretty basic, if you want something specific just let any of the bartenders know what is in it and they usually will make it... A nice hidden gem tucked away off the main street that had been unaffected by time and modern day technology.....Parking: You can park out front on Walnut street or out back behind the building in their parking lotKid-friendliness: Children can come in and eat as well, but they can not sit up at the bar and they can not be in the building after 9pm I believe“

“We went on a Saturday night and it was just the bartender and she was the cook too. But she did a job and was very attentive and friendly. Very limited menu with only chips or apple sauce for sides. The place was very nice and clean and homey. We went hoping to eat on the train but they didn't have it open. Do recommend if you just want a nice quiet place to have a drink.“

“My department had a business lunch here, and it was nice. I ordered the chicken dinner, which had a special that day to include green beans and mashed potatoes. The green beans were pretty good, but the mashed potatoes were rather bland. I did like the chicken; it was not overdone, and the skin was light and crispy. My co-workers ordered the tenderloin, and the patty melt, and both thought their meals were pretty good. The server was mostly good; we did feel like we were forgotten for a while after we got our food and could use drink refills, but other than that, she did a good job. It was not overly noisy, and it was clean, so we were comfortable. It had the old diner look, which is okay, but nothing unique.“

“We were here at 2:30 on a Tuesday afternoon. It was pretty quiet, which I liked. My friend ordered a Single burger and it was made just the way she liked it. I had a mushroom and Swiss burger, which was a little sloppy greasy, but tasted good. We both had fries. The young man at the counter was very helpful.“

“We were driving through & found this local restaurant. Our food hit the spot. It is basic American fare and everything we ordered was delicious, well prepared & just a step up.Service was excellent. You could tell they knew many of their guest as staff engaged with tables. For us, two out of towners, we too had excellent service & attention.Atmosphere is quaint yet spacious.“
