“We loved the Sandwich Shoppe! My boyfriend and I stopped in on our day off together and we felt so lucky to come across this restaurant. The sandwiches were incredible, made to order and we enjoyed every bite! We loved chatting with the chef and so appreciated his kindness to us. We will definitely be back! New favorite sandwich spot for sure!!”

“Great little place, picked on a whim. Flautas, tamales and tostadas were first rate. Beans and rice are better than most. Very generous with chips and salsa. Definitely worth a return visit! Menu is HUGE!”

“If you're ever in Tipton Indiana, you must check out this little spot. They are only open to 2 PM and closed on Sundays and Mondays.There is indoor seating. On the warmer days there is also outside seating. Parking can be a challenge. The gentleman that took my order was super friendly. There was a lady who kept interrupting him while he was taking my order. One time, even saying, "what did she say?" It felt awkward....My lavender iced latte was excellent. I had it one other time when I was driving through and stopped in. It's really what I stopped in to get this time. Since it was lunch, I went ahead and ordered the Apple Pecan salad. When I asked what the salad base is. This is another time the lady interrupted and said, "what do you mean?" Such strange interaction with a customer. Salad was GREAT! Food tasted fresh and it was a really nice size salad.I plan to stop in on my next trip and have another salad and lavender iced latte. You should, too!”

“Love this quick cafe in Tipton? I had a Spiced Chai and they made an adorable Pup Cup for my puppy pal. I had to include a pic because it was soooo cute☺️? You can tell the drinks are made with care and it shows in taste! The price is amazing too, under $5 for a medium Chai?Service was super friendly, I’ll definitely be back? “Crab Rangoon and chicken fried rice. Little town where we took a driving test and we ordered a little snack. A delicious Chinese restaurant in a small town!! It made me want to go back just to eat dinner. Pleasantly surprised. If I lived here, it would be my “go to” Chinese place and I would be so happy that this Chinese restaurant is here! It’s like a hidden gem I would say! I want to go back and eat dinner and I honestly think I might actually do that in the next 3 months! It’s a 30 minute drive from where I live in Indianapolis, but now I’m curious. The thing is…it’s not a place you would sit down and eat dinner. It’s pretty much carry out dinner and maybe sit down by yourself or maybe one friend and eat lunch. I will come back and get a bunch of things to try because it had so much promise and I was interested in what else they had to offer. Cool restaurant hidden in a small town. Pretty cool!”

“My Young Beautiful Bride and I visited Tipton for an estate sale and afterwards we went to the Green House for lunch.Unknown to us, the restaurant was actually located in an actual Green House.The atmosphere was OK, but nothing to brag about. There seemed to be only 2 employees, and this made everything move very slowly.It took 46 minutes to receive our drinks and another 12 minutes to receive our food.The meals were quite delicious and filling ?, it was just the long wait that we didn't like.I suppose if you weren't in a hurry and wanted to take your time and visit with your family, this would be the perfect place to go.”

“Kim. Keith, Patti, Tater (Service Dog) & Cliff eating a darn good breakfast meal. Jessica her sister told us so much about it at the Elwood VFW Post 5782 where she works. We had to try it. Prices are right & the atmosphere is outstanding. We're definitely going back. The breakfast burrito WOW. We're going back for lunch soon. The cook makes some mighty fine food.Kid-friendliness: Our kid is an Italian Greyhound service dog. They loved her. Saw a family with a young baby. The employee's fussed over him. ( Hope I got that right) Tater loved the family as they liked Tater. Especially Tater. Had a great time with our friends Patti & Keith & a mighty fine meal.Thank you to the staff & cooks. “You get food that you can't find anywhere else around town. WOW. Contrary to popular belief, I like that you kinda order yourself and there isn't a huge waitress staff because I'm just here to enjoy good food and good drinks, which is what you get, without being interrupted every five minutes to be asked, "Is everything ok?" Try the beers! The beer wall is GENIUS!! Highly highly recommend. The seating area is small however which makes it a little more personal but nothing negative. Very efficient.”

“Jim Dandy is a pretty good restaurant that I've been to numerous times. The food and service are both pretty good. The restaurant also has mostly older customers. The only issue I've had is the French toast, I've gotten it twice and both times it didn't agree very well with my stomach. That could just be me, but either way it seems important to mention. “The food and portions. are Good. Dining area are clean. Restrooms at least the men's looks like a janitors closet but functioned. couple servers are on point. 2 things I will add are pay attention to the descriptions in menu, some entrees say Rice and Beans and some say Rice or Beans and only other thing is ordered lunch plate and they made a dinner plate it said in menu Rice and Beans so I said something and they actually took the plate back put rice and beans on it but took off 2 tamales due to server or kitchens error. in my opinion that was bad Restaurant etiquette. But I have eaten rhere more than 10x and no problems, cheaper to do sit-down than fast food!”

“I am not one to complain about food, but I ordered a Meaty Mafioso pizza today.it looked SO good on tbeir FB page! Definitely didn't look anything like the picture on their page! It tasted good, but I was very disappointed...especially for $15!”

“The pizza and bread sticks at Gabe's Pizza are absolutely delicious. Their pizza has plenty of toppings and lots of cheese. The staff is very friendly and will go above and beyond to make sure your order is cooked to perfection. The only reason I am only rating them four stars is because it is sometimes very difficult to place a take out order over the phone due to them not answering the phone when you call. If it weren't for that, Gabe's Pizza would easily be a five star establishment!”
