“If you are ever looking for some of the BEST TACOS in the South Suburbs-Harvey to be EXACT.. you have to stop at Al Vapor Taqueria. These are the best Steak tacos...Everything is cooked fresh. The owner Lucia and her son Sebastian are so nice. You will not be disappointed. I wish I took a picture of the tacos..but Trust me they are FYEEEEEE! Another winner the have excellent salsas and fresh chips...and Cauliflower, carrots and peppers...LIKE I SAID..FYEEE!!!! TRY THEM OUT, thank me later.????“

“My cousin and I decided to check this place out. She had the tacos and I had a Gogi Bowl with spicy pork. Delicious. Atmosphere is very chill. And it’s in a great location near the University of Chicago. The service is fast. I would go again once I return to Chicago. Perfect balance of food.“

“We ended up at this place by chance with 6 of us, ranging from teens to a grandma. All of us loved it. The tacos were really delicious. Grandma felt that the guacamole was too salty so the owner came out and apologized, made her a fresh batch to her liking AND removed it from the bill. Both food and service were top notch. The atmosphere was super fun and lively too.“

“I was at SSC for my son's graduation ceremony and was hungry, I tried to go to a birriera place down the block but they were closed. So I found this place and it exceeded my expectations. I was hoping for just some decent tacos but they were better than decent. Only problem now is, I live in Indiana, 30 minutes from here...so I'm gonna have to take a lil drive for these tacos again 😆! Carne asada, pastor and lengua tacos on homemade and regular corn tortillas were all delicious. The asada had a bit of a sweet flavor to it, I assume they might use oranges as a marinade idk, they were good either way.“

“I love supporting family owned businesses. Love that this is an option in the area late nights as there’s not many food options nearby. The chicken quesadilla is my favorite and I love how juicy it is!

“Excellent food, probably one of the best Mexican food I have had. Too bad they took Fajita off the menu, but other items were just as good. I had a carnitas burrito with rice. I always love Spanish rice which is a lot more flavorful than white rice, but I normally don't like burritos as much since many of them have thick wrap especially at the ends, making them a bit too dry and heavy. But the burrito from this place was very moist, light and tasty and I totally enjoyed every single bite. My family ordered a few tacos and nachos with chicken and they also savored them! If we go to Chicago again I will definitely have meals at this place again“
“Five Stars for Flavor & Vibes at Ray’s Caribbean Jerk! From the moment we walked in, the customer service at Ray’s Caribbean Jerk was top-notch—friendly, welcoming, and full of good energy. They even offered us a sample of their jerk chicken, and wow—instant flavor explosion. We knew we were in for a treat. We each ordered a dinner (which comes with rice and beans plus two sides). I went with the BBQ chicken tips paired with yams, baked mac n cheese, and the classic rice and beans. Every bite was soulful and satisfying—perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. He had the jerk chicken tips with the same sides, and let’s just say there wasn’t a single bite left. The heat, the flavor, the tenderness—it’s exactly what you want from a jerk dish. To wash it down, we sipped on Skipee’s Lemonade—I had the passion fruit strawberry, and he had the grape strawberry. Both were refreshing and packed with flavor. We dined in Claude & Ray’s BoomBoom Room, which added a fun, laid-back vibe to the whole experience. We just found our new go-to jerk spot—and we’re already planning our next visit!“

“Food was ok. I was quite upset when they didn't honor the 3% discount for all checks paid with cash (as stated on the menu) and for card purchases it would be a 3.99% added to the bill. When I questioned the waitress, she said no. I said it's on the menu. I asked for the menu back to prove to her it was there. She went and got the manager and he said when they ring up the bill, it is usually with the card purchases at 3.99 and if you pay cash, that 3.99 comes off, but where does the 3% discount come in?? Still confused on this one. We wound up having to pay the full amount with no discount. They need to remove that from the menu as it is false advertisement!! The manager even said people question them when they say it's on your website and they don't honor that either.“
