“I've been burned by other locations or restaurants with the same name (not sure if they are related or not) but this one is phenomenal!!!!!!!! Great food and portions are huge! You can easily get 2 meals out of it (at least for me)....or fill up on a big portion. In the mood for Mexican?.... definitely try this place out.“

“I’ve been to the Winfield Taco Bell before, and always have had great service. Today, I was pulling up to the window and the customer in the car ahead of me was being so nasty to the employee at the window that I could hear it through the closed window of my car. I rolled the window down to hear the woman yelling profanities at the young woman working. She asked for the manager, and instead of allowing them to remake the food (even though I’d bet money they didn’t mess it up in the first place - I’ve never gotten an order made wrong at this location), she took the bag and continued cussing out the employee and manager. The employees were doing the best they could to deal with this woman, who was being absolutely obscene. I’ll be honest, I honked to get her to stop yelling and out of the drive thru. Either she needed to go inside or call corporate if the issue was so serious.
When I got to the window, the employees were clearly shocked, but had handled the situation with grace. Not only was my food already ready and bagged even though this had been going on, they greeted me with warm smiles. For someone who worked in food service, I understand how they must have been feeling. But 10/10 ladies, I will always come back here after getting quality food, service, and seeing you handle the nasty people out there with such class!!“

“A friend recommended Las Jacarandas for great Mexican food in the area. We ordered a ton of items to take out. Was not disappointed whatsoever! Tried an assortment of items (chile relleno dinner, variety of tacos such as beef, fish, steak, pork, chorizo, chicken mole) and everything was excellent! The sides (rice, refried beans) and the sauces were all excellent and better than any other Mexican restaurant. Cannot wait to eat in next time!..This place rocks!!“

They have a sale right now. My $21 meal after doordash fees is $37 and that's not even including tip. It's a $8 fee just to use doordash. There's nothing yall can do about that because it's doordash but ts really suck I have to wait until tomorrow when I'm off just to get a burrito bowl.“

“Our first time at 'La Carreta' was great! Our host, Benito, was very kind to us and gave the kids some candy. I loved that they had margaritas in different flavors and sizes—some glasses were even bigger than they looked in the photos! Our waiter was very attentive and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was good for the price, and they let us swap ingredients in our dishes without any issues. Even though we stayed a bit past closing time, the owner never rushed us out; they were so nice to let us stay a little longer.“

“This place is my go to, and I live in Portage. Their fajitas are always so juicy, and delicious. I used to be a manzanita girl but their fajitas were dry the last 3 times I gave them a chance. This place has never disappointed me. It is a bit expensive, but everything is nowadays. Customer service has always been good and good delicious. I usually get fajitas and burrito frito. Would recommend this if you’re looking for Mexican food and are local. Their tamales are overpriced by the single-though, soI’d suggest buying a dozen for $18.“

“We found this place on our way to Raleigh, NC from Chicago. Stopped here after reading reviews online. TRUST THE REVIEWS that say this place is good...IT IS GOOD! We just moved to the Chicago area from South Texas, so we know good Mexican food and this place does not disappoint! If you are anywhere near Gary Indiana, you have to stop in to Chela's. It's not fancy at all, but is very clean and the prices are good. We had the Birria Tacos, chips and salsa and several different meat tacos. Then, on our way back from North Carolina, we stopped in again! My fiance thinks this is the best Mexican food outside of Texas. THAT'S saying something! We can't wait to go back!“

The had adequate seating, comfortable ambience, CLEAN tables, and fast service. He got the “named burrito” (just forgot the guys name) and a small cheese fry, and I got the gyro sandwich. Mine was H•U•G•E and his was massive. I plan on returning and trying their tacos. They have specials, Tuedays is $2 tacos at time being. I highly recommend if you’re looking for this type of food. “Generally it was good, and we had a great time. The atmosphere was buzzing on the night we went with multiple birthdays happening. I had a strawberry margarita which was stunning, and the chips were awesome.

The food was good overall, but a bit dry to be honest. I had a El Capitan chicken burrito and it was definitely overcooked. My wife had the steak, and this was also the same however it had a great flavour.
