“Our first time here, and really enjoyed everything. I had the steak enchiladas, which were very delicious, and my wife had cecina steak. It was very tender. Also, the rice and beans were made very well. The rice was moist, and the beans had a nice texture, not runny like a lot of places. Definitely will be coming back!“

“I can't give this place enough stars!! The food is so amazing. The last time I went, I had Camarones al mojo de ajo. The shrimp were huge and fresh, the garlic sauce was fresh and just full of wonderful flavor. The coconut rice is flavorful but not too sweet. My husband has chicken mole every time we go here and says it's the best mole he's ever had. It's obviously made fresh in house with a lot of love!“

“It was Friday and the time was 1pm. Because there was not a crowd, we were seated immediately. Our drink order was taken and Martha, the waitress, was very prompt. We ordered a chicken taco salad, chicken burrito, and a chicken chimichanga - all lunch specials. The meat was very flavourful and serving was perfect! Martha, the waitress was nice and accommodating. The frozen peach and mango margaritas were perfect!The only reason I took off one star is because one of the workers bought her 5-6 year old daughter and she was running around, past the tables, falling on the floor as we attempted to eat in peace. My daughter loved her burger, the employees were very friendly and nice, and the owner may have been the coolest guy I've ever met. “I was passing through the place and I found this place, the food is very good and delicious, the tacos ? and the delicious gorditas are very generous with the meat ?, I ordered takeout and the only thing I didn't like was that they charged me for the lemons hehe, On the receipt there was a charge of $1.50 for lemons, but it is worth eating at this place, as a recommendation they need a spicier sauce, I hope to return soon ?“

LaCabana has handicapped accessible entry and restrooms. This place has authentic decor. It is very clean, which is important to me. There is a bar, and dining available. The wait staff wore clean uniforms and were professional with the patrons dining. They have high chairs. The pricing is fair for the quality and quantity of the menu food offered. After eating the meal, I would definitely go back again and be a repeat customer.“

We just moved to the Chicago area from South Texas, so we know good Mexican food and this place does not disappoint! If you are anywhere near Gary Indiana, you have to stop in to Chela's. It's not fancy at all, but is very clean and the prices are good. We had the Birria Tacos, chips and salsa and several different meat tacos.
