“I really enjoy this small town restaurant! The food is always warm, tasty and doesn't take forever to get. The servers are great. You don't have to wait for a refill on drinks; they are very attentive to that. The country breakfast bowl is one of my favorite meals. If I had to pick on something it would be with two of the pies. Their pies are awesome, but I cannot taste the peanut butter in the peanut butter or the chocolate/peanut butter pie. I think it might be that they seem to use some kind of peanut butter crumbles for the peanut butter flavor and that just doesn't seem to give the good peanut butter taste.“
“Family favorite, from the classic candy and retro variety of the store to the smells of old times and the nic-nacks. The store is a certain hit amoung teens, kids, and adults. The whole town is charming abd a must visit. Always check hours before driving there just in case. You dont wanna miss.“

“I was here for step sons birthday. Had the fish sandwich (cod) I believe with fries. Garlic bread as a starter. I'd order again. Drinks cold, and the server did a great job. The only question I have is how the jaguarmeiser had slush in it. I've always froze it, but never slushy.“

“This is home-cooking @ it's best. One of the specials today was the volcano pot roast which I had because it's one of my favorites. The roast beef is tender & plentiful with gravy over mashed potatoes & on a piece of white bread with onion straws on top. Somehow that piece of white bread tastes so good with soaked up gravy & reminds me of my youth. Seasoned green beans with onion bits & bacon round out the perfect meal. I had the leftovers for supper & it's great reheated, too. Harlan Cafe has great skillet breakfasts, sampler, & pancakes & several different waffles done to perfection. Never had a bad meal here!“

“Great place to eat during the summertime I usually get a double order of their cheese curds with a double order of beer bartered onion rings and I also get their hillbilly burger and a chocolate shake. The business is owned by a very good family and their workers are very polite and timely. Payne Ohio is a very small town but if your driving around looking for a place to find something to eat in the summertime pay them a visit. They do have outdoor seating as well.“

“I think waitress was new? However she was nice. Food okay, pork special was dry. Main problem water was very bad (wife and I are not pop drinkers) waitress bought other waters but same bad taste.....I thought the food had some taste? Nothing to do with rating...As others stated we are low 60ish and youngest folks there.“

“I had the pulled pork which wasn't bad it just had hard over done pieces in it making it harder to chew. The cole slaw was the crunchiest I've ever had I wondered if the used the hard core of the cabbage. My wife had a tenderloin which was excellent. The fried pickles were “
