“From the moment I stepped through the door until the moment I left, the entire dining experience was exceptional. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by the host, who promptly seated me without delay, setting the tone for the attentive and friendly service I would receive throughout the evening.

My server, Cliff, went above and beyond to make the evening memorable. He was not only attentive but also extremely knowledgeable about the menu. When it came to choosing wine, he listened carefully to my preferences and offered several excellent options that perfectly suited my taste, demonstrating his expertise and genuine care for the dining experience.

When the food arrived, it was clear that great attention had been paid to the quality and presentation. Every dish was served fresh, steaming hot, and bursting with flavor. Each bite was delicious, exceeding my expectations. Additionally, the menu itself was thoughtfully designed—it was concise and easy to read, which I appreciated because it made choosing my meal straightforward and enjoyable. Each menu item clearly outlined its ingredients and accompaniments, eliminating any guesswork.

Although my overall experience was fantastic, I do wish the restaurant offered a broader selection of sushi dishes, as their limited sushi options left me wanting more. Nevertheless, the exceptional service, especially from Cliff, and the delicious food have certainly ensured that I will return again. “Super big portions, me and my mom were starving and neither of us finished our food. Great deal for the price and the employees were great considering the card machine was broken. We loved it and are defintely coming back for the big portions, great peices for the amount of food, and amazing service“

“Food was pretty decent! Good flavor. But what was best about our experience getting food here was that when my mother left her wallet sitting somewhere in the restaurant while waiting for our food, she got distracted and forgot it! She didn’t even realize until way late at night after close. Thankfully, whoever was working that evening noticed the wallet and put it away for safekeeping and my mother was able to get it back the following morning. She was extremely grateful and we admire the honesty and integrity of the employee and business! So glad they noticed the wallet and are clearly paying attention to their restaurant.“

“Food is great! Service is mediocre at best, almost makes you not want to order from there. Never a friendly smile when picking up food, spent over $80 and the owner tried to charge me for extra sweet and sour sauce while giving me one small cup for 5 meals.“

“Food was amazing! The dumplings were cooked perfectly. The black pepper chicken was solid, yum all the way around. One tiny gripe is we sat almost under vents in the ceiling by the front door and they need cleaned bad. I think I saw a piece of lint fall when a family opened the door. But the food is fantastic and the staff was great!“

“This was my first time eating at the Rice Bowl. The food here was cooked fresh and cooked the way I requested it. The only down fall I had with them was they told me it was about a 10 min wait and I ended up waiting almost 25 mins other than that I love this little place .“

“Aloha Chopstix is a hidden gem near KU Med Center! We were blown away by their Ma La Crispy Chicken. The perfectly cooked, boneless chicken with grilled jalapeños is a flavor explosion. It's a generous portion, with a satisfying crispy crunch in every bite. (The chicken is not breaded.) The crispy exterior and tender chicken, combined with the heat of the jalapeños, create an unforgettable flavor profile. It's a generous portion that easily feeds our whole family. (It's not that spicy!) While it's a bit pricier, it easily feeds our whole family.

Their lunch specials are fantastic value, with huge entrees and a choice of egg rolls or crab rangoons. The Szechuan Chicken is a family favorite, and the Cashew Chicken has a delightful smoky taste. The lunch menu offers a variety of dishes, with some standout favorites and others that didn't quite hit the mark.

The only downside is that we don't live closer! This place is our go-to for fast, delicious Chinese takeout.“

“The menu looks like all American style Chinese but I have the Malaysian noodles and steamed dumplings and they were actually legit authentic even though the noodles were a little bit salty. Very much reminded me of southern China with the atmosphere because there was no air conditioning and the people were very laid back and friendly.“
