Went for the first time today. The fried catfish was top notch. The fries were great also. Fountain drink had good ice. The staff was friendly and made sure you were served. They also sell fresh fish. It is a to go place with a bench along the wall, no tables. The 1/2 pound combo was under $15. A fairly priced square meal!
Got the basa lunch special and it was delicious. Hush puppies are the best in the metro and okra was fresh. Staff at the deli counter was positive and friendly but the staff at the register acted like she could care less. When asked if it was a fillet or how it was portioned, she just said "it's a half pound fried" which wasn't the question. Had I known it was nuggets not fillet I would have ordered twice as much.Not entirely sure what the bread was for but it was good anyway...read full review

I used to go to the Mad Jacks in 63rd street in 2011 all the time! I miss it! I then started going to Charlie D's on Eastwood traffic way but they always busy, slow service and unorganized. So I decided to visit Mad Jacks in Kansas!!!! The best fish ever hands down. We got the Saturday special 1/2 pound of basa, fries and a drinks for only $9.99!!! This was enough for 2 ppl!!!
