“Love the food and the people.“

“Our party of 7 went tonight to celebrate the youngest kiddo turning 19. We were promptly greeted upon walking in and the hostess was very polite. Our server greeted us and handed us menus as we sat down. He was full of smiles and very polite. He had his hands full as we kept asking questions and ordering drinks and appetizers. He did it all with courtesy and again, lots of smiles. Our cook was incredible. He didn't like talking much but he always had a smile on his face and told our daughter Happy Birthday. They came out with a drum and sang to her and everyone clapped and wished her a Happy Birthday. What an incredible experience!! We will def be back! OH!!! Several sushi rolls were ordered as well and ALL of the food was delicious. 0 complaints!! Thank you all for making our daughter's birthday dinner a hit!!!!“

“Very good Bento Box. Like honestly I was very impressed by the food. It smelled a bit fishy in there, but of course it is a sushi place. Oh and that little candy thing they give at the end of the meal that's no bigger than a pill is my new favorite hard candy and the entire trip is worth it just for that tiny little piece of heaven.“

“Sushi Kodawari is a great omakase experience. The staff is professional and attentive to the guests. Getting to enjoy the freshly grated wasabi and a dozen pieces of imported nigiri is a treat. Lots of cool decorations are touches that give a true transportive experience like your in Japan. Would dine here again.

“I found this place 2 years ago as a quick lunch with a friend who is pescatarian . We definitely found a gem because we’ve been coming here ever since. Their lunch specials are pretty reasonable and you get a lot of food. Brought my daughter for dinner tonight and she loved it. We recommend the caterpillar roll and the spider roll.“

“I came in on a random night and was honestly completely blown away by the General Manager, Jan, who was on duty at the PNL location.

She was absolutely incredible. I’ve never in my life seen a manager be that personable, present, and accommodating especially in such a busy environment. I watched her jump between roles effortlessly helping staff, checking on guests, solving problems, and making sure everything ran smoothly. You could tell she truly cared, not just about the operation, but about the people in the room.

What stood out most was how she stayed so attentive and engaged even while the restaurant was packed. She took the time to connect with every table, made sure everyone felt taken care of, and handled everything with kindness and professionalism. That level of leadership is rare.

It’s obvious this place is run by someone who leads by example and genuinely takes pride in what they do. Experiences like this don’t happen often, and it’s the reason I’ll absolutely be back.

“A good selection of Korean and Japanese food. The bento boxes are a great option for lunch. It is a nice, warm atmosphere and not loud. You order at the counter. The menu on the wall behind the counter can be hard to read for those of us who need glasses.“

A crazy variety of options with convenient ordering features of something is popular or you're in a hurry. “We took our family there for the first time tonight and we loved it. It was such a great experience. They were very nice and accommodating to our 2 toddlers and 9 year old. The food was amazing and that’s a lot coming from me because I do not like Chinese, Asian, Japanese food at all. I loved this food and the crab Rangoon are the best I’ve had. “One of my favorite sushi spots! The location is convenient, the staff are always friendly, and the food is wonderful! I live very nearby, so being able to walk to a nice restaurant without needing a vehicle is very nice. They also offer very reasonable and affordable prices on their menu, as well as some more expensive items for a bit more luxury if you so desire!

They have a lot of good options, and I never worry about the freshness of their fish. Although, my favorites are the Hokkaido roll and the Kyoto roll, usually with a small bottle of their green apple or white peach sake.

The atmosphere is lovely with their easy seating, colorful banners, and art decor. And they have a wonderful service as well.

This last time tonight when my girlfriend and I ordered, they also gave us an extra bottle of sake on the house! I was very touched by this.

Overall, I will continue to be a customer to this lovely little sushi spot! It's not in the biggest area, but please give it the love it deserves!“
