“We made reservations well in advance for Christmas Eve dinner at The Eldridge. Our service was so terrible and our waitress was so rude, we left after we finally got our incorrect drink order. We sat for an unreasonably long time before we were even greeted. After the waitress was openly hostile to us, we left money on the table for the incorrect drinks and left before we even ordered dinner. We walked 10 steps over to 715 and were greeted warmly and seated immediately at the bar. The service was top notch and the food was wonderful. The atmosphere was lively, fun and bustling. If you want great service, excellent food and great atmosphere, just go next door to 715. They saved our Christmas Eve date night, and we didn’t even have reservations! Thank you 715!!“

They will go above and beyond for you prior and on your day. I have nothing but wonderful and raving things to say about the staff at Taco Zone. It’s the talk of our friend group and work on how amazing the food was, which is always good to hear since wedding food is known for being average… but they were far from average. “Had a great experience before leaving Lawrence this morning. The cafe we were planning on going to for breakfast was closed, so we went a couple storefronts down to Global Cafe. The weather was gorgeous and we ate outside. I had a fantastic smoothie and latte. In the time it took us to finish our meal, I watched as the waitstaff handed out no less than eight free to-go breakfasts and coffees to what appeared to be people without housing. From the interactions I witnessed, it was clear that these were regular customers, and the waitstaff treated them with such dignity - just like any other customer. “We recently used McLain's catering for a shower brunch and were absolutely amazed by how beautiful the food was and how delicious. It made for a stunning table and people couldn't stop eating or thanking us! They were even able to design an unusual cake we had requested and it turned out perfect. “My husband made patio reservations here for my birthday and it was absolutely amazing! We live an hour and half away and it was definitely worth the drive. I had the paella and my husband had the lamb that was on special and both dishes were great. I am not normally a fan of lamb but it was so yummy I would order it for myself. The dessert and cocktails were perfect and the staff was excellent.We haven't stopped raving about it since we were there. I highly recommend it and we will definitely make another trip to visit!“

“This is a Cool place with good service and food. Four of us went there Sunday a little before noon and got right in. The service was prompt and the food came out quick.
We tried several of the beers which were a nice mix. We will definitely put this place in to our rotation.“

“EDIT TO ADD: Rick, the general manager contacted me same day and was amazing! Come to find out, Noah was brand new that day so, I understand the issue with the service. Waiting tables is hard work anyway and it’s especially hard when it’s you first day and you don’t know the policy. Rick also reimbursed my meal and apologized. In short, They were quick to reach out and rectify the problem, which I am very grateful for and impressed. My faith in HuHot is restored and I will remain a faithful patron! Normally we have a very good experience, today… not so much! Had the WORST server I think I’ve ever had “Noah B”, or at least in the bottom 3. He did not visit our table 1 time until he brought the check, no refills. Then, I asked for a box. . . I had been through the line 1 time, had eaten about 5 bites when my stomach revolted (not because the food wasn’t good, I have a stomach issue that causes me to occasionally not be able to eat, unfortunately I don’t know it’s going to happen until I try to eat) I explained this to the server and he still would not let me have a box. So 1 whole meal wasted. It took him 8 minutes to make change for our bill, and then he shorted us $3. The cook was very polite and cooked our meal well. I don’t know if or when we will return to the Lawrence, KS HuHot, but it wont be anytime soon. Do better!“

“I had the Caprisi sandwich and a cup of coffee. I was slightly disappointed when I tried to pour the house blend, which turned out to be an empty pot. I decided on the only other dark roast available. I mentioned it to one of the staff behind the counter, and he seemed genuinely concerned that the pot was left empty.
I sat down and enjoyed the sun coming through the windows and the excellent sandwich. To my surprise, a few moments later, the gentleman from behind the counter brought me a fresh cup of the house coffee. I really appreciate his thoughtfulness and excellent service, it made my day.“

When the delivery driver got here, he said I did what I could and I got a chuckle out of it and thanked him but when I opened the box this ABSOLUTE CHAD of a man had roughly 50 packets in there.

Pizza was great. Parmesan was aplenty. Delivery was fast and efficient and my guy went above and beyond. 10 out of 10.“
