A dynamite waitress, sweet and so accommodating of whatever we asked. No goofs even with this huge group. And……..I brought two special occasion pies for dessert. She put them in the cooler. She even cut and served them for us!! I cannot compliment Lauren enough for her over the top service & kindness to us. Delicious food too!)“

“Going on 4 years and this place just gets better and better! While you can always find entertainment here the service stays on point! Very attentive. The outside patio is beautiful and gives some space while you eat. We love the lamb and wygau beef burgers. My kids eat the pizza and wings while I enjoy their yummy cocktails! From burgers to nachos and eveything in between you'll feel like you ate anywhere but a bar. Just make sure to get a side of ranch for yourself! Gaels is constantly helping organizations in the community with fundraising and support! A true beacon in kc!“

“Very friendly service, I felt appreciated. My first impression walking in was “Wow, low lighting!” Hate overhead lighting and sterile decor. The decor choices are very entertaining. This place is surprising and compelling. Food was good, had a pork tenderloin and fries (that’s how I judge a diner). They had my NA beer! I’ll be back with my girlfriends.“

“Came in on a superbowl Sunday and it was quiet ish, the bartender, Ryan was great though, engaging, great service, dealt with my indecisiveness quickly. I had a great time just chilling on a quiet night. Came back Tuesday and it was lively, plenty of friendly locals. Ryan remembered my name and what I was drinking. My hometown dive bars don't serve food, but I felt at home, which is rare.

“I stopped in here after visiting with a friend. I’m so glad I stopped in. To drink, I got the Royal Lemonade—well balanced. For food, I got the mozzarella sticks and ginger burger (I was super hungry, but had to take home some of my burger). To be honest, the burger is not something I would normally order, but it was recommended and I’m glad I went for it. I would definitely eat it again. The atmosphere here is nice. It’s clean and comfortable. The regulars here are nice and the staff is friendly. You never know when you walk into a bar “that’s not yours” how you’ll be treated. I told my partner that if we lived down here that I could see us coming here often. You should give them a try.“

“I love The Ship! It has become our ladies night out location, with dancing and drinks. The service is always on point. Mazzy always has a great smile, wicked sense of humor, and laugh that fills the room. Kelly supports the fun, and keeps our glasses filled. They are a huge part of why we keep coming back. The live music and inclusiveness makes it feel like family.“

“The service was amazing. They made a special mocktail for me. As I don't drink. I know. Why go to a bar? Well it was for a work thing. The food and appetizers are amazing. I love their pizza. They put this garlic butter on it. Unlike anything that I've tasted. Ordered all the appetizers. They were good. No pictures taken as they were being passed around our group of 15 fast. Service was fast. I did take the sweet and spicy to go. So delicious. What I like about Southside is that it's very multicultural. So I saw many groups from all types of ethnicities and cultural backgrounds there. People in suits. People in casual wear. People with babies. Its just warm And welcoming. Something you don't feel these days.“

“Date night. Great place to go. Huge selection of drinks and awesome food. I had a salad with salmon that was one of the vest salads i have ever had and my boyfriend had a bourbon burger and said it was "perfect". We had the loaded spud app and shared the pretzel dessert....the best beginning and ending we could want. Our server, Heather, was so sweet and talked us through a lot of our options. She was super attentive. We will definitely be heading back!“

“The food was great but I wouldn’t come here on an evening of you want good service. My husband and I did a tasting tour near by and wanted something to eat before we headed back to the Air BnB. Immediately you could tell how the experience was going to be when we didn’t order drinks right away and didn’t see our server again for about 15 minutes. She was very obviously more interested in paying more attention to customers that ordered drinks right away. She didn’t give her name otherwise I would I mention here. We only got one water and she didn’t come back to us again. We went to go to the hostess to try to pay our bill, ended up stopping her as she was leaving the bar. I give 2 stars out of 5. That’s only because the food was really good. I don’t think I would come back here. Maybe during the day would be better but I don’t know if I’d come here again anyway.“

“Went to Hyvee today for a quick breakfast and coffee with my dad, and the manager JUSTIN and waitress KELCIE were fantastic. It was very busy saturday morning and I could tell they were doing their best to make sure all customers were being served in a timely manner. Justin even came back to check on how we were doing after our meals came. I've been in customer service industry for 15+ years, and they really stood out. Thanks Justin and Kelcie ! we will be back“

“Andrew and his team in the Market Grill are amazing! We came in on Saturday to feed our football team in between games and they did not disappoint! Food was fresh and tasted great. They let us spread out in the top seating area so our kids and families could sit and eat comfortably while we warmed up from the freezing rain and cold. Highly recommend them and will plan on stopping again the next time we play football nearby!“

“We hosted my husband’s 40th birthday party here. The service was amazing!!! Sydney, our waitress, was so friendly and extremely attentive to our large group. The chef was on top of making sure the food was perfect and refilled as soon as needed. Our guests repeatedly commented on how good the food was. I highly recommend Craft Putt Lee’s Summit and their event space for your next event.“

“This is a great little dive bar. I stopped in yesterday with a friend who needed some cheering up. They had Dunkle on tap which was great. My friend had the Orange Crush cocktail and said it was fantastic. I ordered a salad and a Rueben. The salad was better than any I have had recently- super fresh and their ranch dressing was perfection! The Rueben was excellent as well!“

“It was Friday in early November, just days after Halloween. I came from out of town to a job interview, at Country Club Plaza. I was trying to find a place before going to the Power & Light District later that night & after my interview. I was going to go somewhere else, but they had 30 min wait. So I'm not from here, don't know KC well (unless I have my GPS), and new to the bar scene in the metro area. Suddenly, a place called "The Bar" came to my Google Search. I almost didn't want to come here. I'm thinking to myself "just go, you don't come to KC often"...& I did. The Bar West Plaza was actually better than I thought it was going to be. I also didn't know they had multiple places until I realized that before Thanksgiving. Not to mention, they have karaoke??? YES! I couldn't do karaoke hence going to the P&L District & due to time, I wouldn't have made it back in time...sadly. In the end, I had two bartenders (Katie & Adrianna) who were by far stellar at their job (from start to finish). I was very impressed. A local patron told me to try their wings, you will regret it if you don't. That man wasn't joking. Holy...😇 I give this place 4 out 5 stars. The ONLY reason why I didn't give it 5 out of 5 is because of the lack of parking. The rest is by far awesome.“
