“We have been going to the Las Vaquitas Mexican Restaurant since Caesar and Connie recruited their family and opened their doors to Derby residents. It’s rare to find a place where the owners are in the kitchen and on the floor making sure every guest feels welcome. The food is incredible and service is professional and friendly. I thought the idea of covering the check of a few of their patrons was a sweet holiday idea. When it happened to us, we were incredibly grateful. “We went to this restaurant with my cousin who lives nearby. The waitress was friendly and the food was delivered quickly. I ordered a chicken enchilada and a cheese and onion enchilada. I loved the cheese and onion enchilada but was not too keen on the chicken enchilada. It was made out of dark meat which I do not care for, So probably if you don't have an issue with that you would be very happy with the chicken enchilada. Black beans and Mexican rice were tasty as well. Surprisingly I found the salsa both the hot and mild to be very tasty. I would definitely return here to eat again if I lived nearby.“

A drunk person called about why food order was not delivered already and a person really let them have an earful and it was hilarious. This is a place where they work their hearts 💕 out all day and night long. So when the customer asked why the food they ordered wasn't delivered an hour ago when they actually ordered 30 minutes ago and had no patience for much at the time. The person here let them know in a professional, funny way so good I was almost on the floor in tears from laughing.“
