7 Best Fast Food Restaurants in Ottawa

“The food is surprisingly good for how little traffic goes through Arby’s. Today my service was excellent; in fact, the best service I’ve ever had at a fast food restaurant. I never got the chance to catch the worker’s name at the window but he brightened my whole day. So, if any Arby’s higher-ups are reading this, the red-haired bearded man with a great personality most definitely deserves a promotion.“

“Born and raised in Ottawa, been coming to this Dairy Queen my whole life (I’m 31). Never worked here, almost did (have friends who have) but I DoorDash in town sometimes and when I do. I always end up with Dairy Queen orders and the staff are always the friendliest at this Dairy Queen location.

However I’m writing this review because I’ve done DoorDash across the US (43 states so far) and this is the only Dairy Queen I’ve ever been to that gives out this 5 visit blizzard hole punch card.

A lot of restaurants come up with perks like this for Dashers and I love and appreciate it. Free drinks, free dollar menu items (sometimes at some places), free blizzards at Dairy Queen. These DoorDash perks (at least for me) tilt the offset balance of what I don’t make with tips.

So thank you to Dairy Queen in Ottawa for thinking of Dashers as well as customers.“

“Great quality food, but what really sets them apart is the top tier service! Always positive and happy to help! Due to certain circumstances, I tend to only drop by right before closing and not once have they ever shown anything but positivity and readiness to take and fill my order. I know how frustrating those last second customers can be, but if they feel that frustration they never let it show. And the food is always on point: fresh, hot, and tasty.“

“I went through the drive-thru. The kid that was on the intercom was funny. But he was also laughing at me because I was being funny. He's got a very good voice enunciation and I understood him well. When I got to the window and got my food. Everything was exactly the way it was supposed to be The best looking baked potato that I have had from any type of Wendy's in the Kansas or Missouri area or even Maryland for that matter. The chili was good and really could not complain at all. I definitely like this one“

“As a truck driver from Texas, I often find myself stopping at different places, but this restaurant truly stood out to me. Two months ago, on a rainy night, I visited for the first time, and a young lady took my order. Her kindness and warm attitude were as remarkable as her beauty.

By sheer luck, I had the chance to visit again today—something I wasn’t expecting. To my surprise, I saw the same girl, and once again, her behavior was exceptional. As truck drivers, our job is stressful, and after long hours on the road, small gestures of kindness mean a lot. Experiencing such great service makes a real difference,it even helps us rest better at night.

“Wow! We have been going here for years, today they were amazing!! Idk who was working during lunch today but they made the food so fresh didn't slack on any of the toppings and were quick and kind. Thanks! You guys did a great job today.“

“Traveling through and stopped in for lunch. Super cute location. Everything was clean. There was a lunch buffet (which I didn’t even know they’d come back) and it was great. Had plenty of pizza, pasta, salad, and breadsticks. Everything was hot and fresh. Was roughly $15/pp which isn’t terrible since I saw a lot of plates piled high. lol

I really loved the decor. Of all the Pizza Huts I’ve frequented, this is probably the cutest I’ve ever seen. Even down to the crocheted pizzas hanging up.“
