She was our favorite vendor to work with, and she made every process easy (the most important thing when stressing planning a wedding). Our dessert trial was great, she’s an amazing baker and the flavors were all wonderful. It truly felt like a romantic experience due to her customer service and the beauty of the shop! She really took the time to get to know us, jot down what we wanted and how we wanted it for our special day, and she showed up the day of and executed it perfectly! You can truly tell she is passionate about what she does, and prioritizes making the client happy. “Two years ago in October, my daughter had to go to a company in Overland Park for a course. We are from the Netherlands and have eaten a pie at the Upper Crust several times. Our favorite was the caramelized pecan apple pie. I still tell everyone who will listen about it. I would really love to have the recipe. He has a son that has a gluten and dairy allergy and his one request for his birthday this year was a key lime pie that he could share with his son. That was not an easy task to locate. Even though it is not something they offer on their menu, Mud Pie Bakery was willing to do a special order for a gluten free, dairy free key lime pie and I must say, we were blown away! It was delicious! The crust was delicious, the filling was tangy, and the whipped topping was sweet and balanced everything else out! Not only that, but it looked beautiful! You could see each individual layer, simply baked with love! It was huge, well worth every penny, and I enjoyed every bite. The owner was in the kitchen and I asked if he would come over to meet me, he did and I complemented him on his food and the time and passion he put into each roll. We laughed and talked for a while.
