“Redrock Canyon Grill last night for a birthday dinner. There was double booking on our reservation that we placed a week ago, and we got the short end of the stick. Poor communication aside though, here's how dinner went. We ordered the spinach artichoke dip as an appetizer, and when it came out, the plate had like 6 chips on it. Seemed pretty steep for the price ($15), but we asked for more chips and they brought out an entire plate more for free. It came with the dip, as well as a small cup of salsa. Both tasted great! Extra chips made up for the perceived lack of portion size. For a main course, I got the 10oz Filet with mashed potatoes, and "something green" (green beans). The Filet was excellently prepared at requested "medium", with a ton of flavor! It was a stark contrast to what we got at Salt**ass. Tender, juicy, and well seasoned, with a nice crust! Sizes came in 6oz(?), 10oz, and 14oz. Easily the best steak I've had at a restaurant. I wish I would've gotten the 14oz, but not because I was still hungry....I just didn't want to good time to end. 🥴 Next up was the mashed potatoes.....and ho-lee-sht. Creamy, full of flavor! I could be wrong, but i felt like I tasted onions in them? I dont really know what's in them for sure, but i feel like I need to create a Redrock Anonymous group to deal with the withdraw I will be battling, until we inevitably go back. Green beans were also excellent. Not a lot to go over in specifics, but they were awesome, and the perfect companion to the rest of the culinary masterpieces on my plate. Our waitress was super attentive, and quick to refill drinks before they were empty. Very knowledgeable in specials and pricing, and overall a great communicator. This was literally the best meal I've had out at a restaurant, period, and Redrock is likely going to be our go-to for celebrations, and date night's from now on. Many of us didn’t experience the ‘50s, but diners are apart of the American landscape that chances are you have great memories in a ‘50s themed diner, or at least relate to it as a symbol of American culture. Thanks Jimmie's Diner for keeping that nostalgia going!! Our server, Flash was outstanding he was very friendly and personable. we had a good conversation with him aswell. our food was right on par and the presentation looked great. we fi shed our lunch with a giant sundae. “Made reservations for 8:15, promptly seated and welcomed and congratulated us on 25th anniversary. They were out of what I considered their top three entrees, Prime Ribs (they had 2 10 oz pieces left but no larger portions, beef tenderloin pasta, and bone in pork chop. I know well enough to stay away from the ‘final' two pieces of Prime rib as they are the heel. Waitress Nicolette was good and made further entree recommendations. Was a good meal, we ordered Beef Bavette and Pork medallion since they were out of what we had wanted to order. Maybe it was an extra busy rainy evening? Food and service were good. Desert looked really good, but it was kind of late and we passed.“

“I have been staying at the Hyatt on a regular basis for over 10 years. The Harvest Kitchen and Bar is excellent. I have eaten here for breakfast, lunch, dinner probably over 100 times. I have yet to anything less than an excellent meal. This is one of those restaurants that's probably a "sleeper" in the town, but if you're from here you should give it a shot. And if you're staying the night here you really don't need to go out and find something other than "hotel" food.“

“We didn’t have any plans on Thanksgiving day this year, so we decided to visit Cracker Barrel. We knew it would be busy, but once we were sat, it took about 35 minutes to get served. We thought maybe it was the amount of guests, but we saw people receive their orders that were sat around the same time as us. We were mostly distracted (triangle peg game, duh), but one of the waitresses stopped by and asked if anyone had been over. We said no, told her the time we had been waiting, and she immediately said she wasn’t even going to check who our server was (we weren’t in her section) but instead take care of us herself. She instantly got our drink/food order and everything came out quickly. Not only was this super nice of her, but she was also kind but professional, efficient and smart, and hardworking. Through small talk we found out she’s also going to school and a black belt in karate! She went the extra mile and we were talking about how great our experience was long after we left. Come to find out our original server left in the middle of their shift and the others weren’t aware. So THANK YOU, KAYLEIGH!!! Keep being a rockstar!!! Someone please give her employee of the month or something at least lol.“

“Before I came to Cheddar's today I was cripplingly depressed and desperately searching for any reason to live. I am overjoyed to say that after my experience today I love life and am filled with wonder at just how much beauty is in the world. My pork chops tasted so good it was like there was a Mozart symphony happening on my tongue. The baby carrots were so sweet I swore I saw the face of God for a moment. When I left, I had a song in my heart and my LDL cholesterol had dropped by 80 points. You haven't really lived until you've been to the Cheddar's on Ridge Road in Wichita KS. Laiken was our server and she was truly outstanding. If I were a manager, I would give her all the PTO and raises I could. I might even offer her some sort of equity, stock sharing option in our parent company. There are few experiences I would describe as transcendent, but this was truly one of them. 10/10, would recommend to a friend.“

“NuWay is an institution in Wichita. The original location and this location are now the only two in the city. This one is in the more modern style, and the restaurant was clean, and service was good. However, I found the food not as I remembered. The NuWay bun was stale, and the “crumbly burger” was also. However, the onion rings were some of the best I’ve had.

NuWay is still an experience of which one should partake.“

“Had the brisket Mac and cheese egg roll, southwest chicken egg roll, and voodoo fries. Egg roll consistency was awesome, shells nice and crispy! Voodoo fries were the big win. Covered in various sauces and andouille sausage. We will be be going out of our way to find them again! Seriously… try the voodoo fries.“

“This small recently-reworked hotel restaurant boasts many American and Italian favorites, including some soul foods, many types of chicken, and classy burgers. I tried the Bourbon BBQ Bacon cheeseburger with a side of french fries. I received my order much faster than I expected to, as several Indian students were keeping the wait staff very busy moving back and forth to the kitchen carrying loads of traditional cuisine. Bearing what was probably nearly a ½ lb tender burger patty cooked to a juicy medium just north of medium-rare, the sandwich was finished out inside of its large sesame seed bun by crispy bacon and melted cheddar over a smoky bourbon sauce. The french fries appeared a bit lighter than golden, but were crisped to a perfect texture and seasoned with a novel and slightly spicy taste that complemented the burger well. The ensemble was finished by a dill spear. As for the service, the staff were attentive and friendly. They were highly excited to share samples of some of their traditional Indian foods with me, all of them well prepared and extraordinarily tasty. The "batter balls" with a peanut curry sauce were especially nice, as was the "dassa[sp?]" with a tangy curried dipping soup and more of the peanut curry sauce. A surprising finishing touch was then served, called "igli[sp?]" and it had a marvelously delicate flavor and light texture due to its being prepared with no cooking oil. I certainly recommend this recent startup restaurant on the first floor of the Wyndham Garden hotel in downtown Wichita Kansas. I will definitely be coming again!

The burger was decent but not exceptional—while the falafel patty was flavorful, the overall combination with the bun and toppings felt a bit dry. The fries were crispy and well-seasoned, which I enjoyed. Given the location and the convenience of grabbing a quick bite during a zoo visit, it's a decent option, but I wouldn't go out of my way for it. The prices are a bit steep for what you get, but that's expected at a place like this. Overall, it's an okay choice if you're hungry while exploring the zoo.“

“My family likes to eat at Culvers. The menu is large with a lot of variety and the food is good. I enjoy their Cod but have trouble deciding what I want to order because there is so much to choose from. Culver’s is new to Wichita and is a very popular place to eat. Last weekend was so crowded and no available tables so we decided to come back another time.

“It was a little hectic, and on waiting and communication on the staff was a little off. Once we got seated, though, the waiter was very nice and friendly. Very attentive and very helpful. “Waiter was great. Food is always good. We love the duck wontons. My vegetarian enchiladas are always a good choice. My husband loved his lamb burger although he mentioned there was a little too much cheese on it. My sister had the pork chops which were seasoned and cooked perfectly. The carrots and mashed potatoes were the perfect sides. My brother in law had the fajita bowl and loved it. The carrot cake was so good ending the meal perfectly. The whole experience is why this is my go-to restaurant.“
