We made our way to the bar while waiting to board and were treated to two exceptional drinks, the RJ Punch and the Woodford Sunrise. Both were beautifully crafted, refreshing, and set the tone for what would become an unforgettable evening. Boarding began about 15 minutes before departure, and there was something nostalgic about the process, like stepping into a story that had been waiting patiently for us to arrive.

Once seated, we had the absolute pleasure of being cared for by Makenna, who was truly outstanding. She was attentive without ever being intrusive, warm without ever feeling rehearsed, and genuinely present in every interaction. She anticipated needs before we even realized them ourselves, and her kindness elevated the entire experience. Along the journey, we passed ten historic sites, each carrying its own quiet significance. While some of the mile post signs were difficult to see and a few viewpoints were brief or from the backside, it somehow added to the authenticity of the ride. It wasn’t polished or overproduced. It felt real. It felt like a peaceful hillbilly countryside ride, the kind that reminds you how beautiful simplicity can be.

One of the most unexpected highlights of the evening was meeting The Kincaid’s, a lovely couple who shared our table. Conversation flowed easily, and by the end of the ride, it felt less like sitting with strangers and more like sharing a table with old friends. There is something special about experiences that bring people together like that.

The meal itself was nothing short of extraordinary. We ordered the prime rib with baked potato and the lobster tail with asparagus, and every single bite was cooked to perfection. The portions were incredibly generous. When they say come hungry, they mean it. This is not a light meal. This is a feast. The appetizers were just as impressive, and the desserts were unforgettable. The red velvet cake cheesecake was rich, indulgent, and beautifully balanced, while the strawberry delight cake was exactly what its name promised, sweet, fresh, and absolutely sensational.

To make the evening even more special, I was surprised with a bottle of Cupcake Sweet Red wine. I am very particular about my wine, and this selection exceeded my expectations completely. It was smooth, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the meal. It felt thoughtful and intentional, which made it even more meaningful.

What truly sets this experience apart, though, is the people. Every single staff member we encountered was kind, welcoming, and genuinely happy to be part of our evening. “My husband ordered the special for Thursday January 22 and sent it back to the kitchen because the meat was tough, chewy and unacceptable. He replaced this meal with the Burgoo and said it was DELICIOUS. I had the kale salad and a side of french fries! Our drinks were good and the service was good.“

Our party did the You Do Bourbon tasting and bottling.You taste 3-5 bourbons and pick one you like to buy.Bit overpriced for that experience.
There is a restaurant upstairs with decent food .They stop taking food orders 1/2 hour before closing so be aware of that.Jaz up at the restaurant was one of the few that was really friendly and helpful to everyone.“

“Came here to eat today I ordered the bacon cheeseburger with fries and it came out fantastic everything came quick and didn't wait long at all and the food is delicious plus my server Emily was fantastic constantly checked to see how I was doing was very polite she kept my drink full and always kept a smile she really made me feel welcome so I recommend this place and I recommend Emily as your server she and the food are fantastic!!!!“

“Small place, we made a reservation for 5 on an app but didn't go through apparently since it wasn't on there system but seated us. Menu looked good and wanted to try a lot of different things. The 5 of us had something different and everything was delicious. I was thinking the portion was small but it filled me up. I did get the peach cobbler but wasn't impressed by it, it only had 5 peaches in it and had a cake on top and had ice cream.“
